NEVER MIND! I FOUND MY ANSWER! (i'm not deleting my original post because i don't know if that's allowed in this forum.)

hi everyone! i just have a few questions, if anyone could help me out :)

- how long does it take to get to epcot from magic kingdom?
- if i have a reservation at coral reef restaurant at 8:20 and monorail stops running approximately an hour after the park ends, is that enough time to get back to the poly form epcot?
- how do people who have late reservations travel around disney?
- i also have a late reservation at narcoossee's but that's fine because grand floridian and poly is walkable, right?

thanks for anyone who answers! the main thing i'd love to know is how people with late reservations travel around disney. i'm gonna keep trying to get an earlier adr.

Welcome to the boards!

With an 8:20 at Coral Reef, and a park closure of (I'm guessing) 9, you will be cutting it close to make the monorail after Epcot closes, but you will be able to get back to the Poly. They do not leave guests stranded at closed parks overnight, and will have a bus or something available should the monorail have stopped running by the time you get out of the park after dinner.

In general, the default mode of transportation 'home' to your resort after a late dinner reservation is to head over to Downtown Disney and do a bus transfer there; this is very time-consuming and certainly less than convenient, and we usually just bite the bullet and spring for the cab fare 'home' rather than bother with the bus thing if we get out of a late dinner. Cab fare to the Poly from Epcot will run you around $20.

I am not certain, as it has been a while since I stayed in a monorail resort, but I think the resort loop runs until about midnight, especially when there is a late close at MK, and so getting 'home' from the Grand Floridian should not pose a problem. It is walkable, but not what I'd call a quick stroll.
