Like many others, we let our APs expire at the end of 2019, planning to purchase new in 2020. So, we don't qualify for new passes with the current restrictions.
When we were at Disney in January, a DVC guide suggested that we call to ask about getting new passes. I don't think that we qualify. However, I have a relative that canceled a non DVC AP during the closure period. If that relative were to purchase a new, non DVC AP and then transfer the pass to me, would Disney let me purchase new DVC APs for my other family members? Would I be able to convert the non DVC AP to a DVC AP?
I have read that Disney has let family members without APs purchase new ones if they were going with members with APs, but in this case, it would be only one family member with an AP and the majority without passes. Do you think it would work?
