We will be in Orlando 2 weeks in November. Was wondering if we could make our FastPass+ reservations, then upgrade to an Annual Pass after we get there. Would AP's limit on FP+'s mess up our 10 days of reservations? And could we upgrade EARLY in the trip (to save parking fees) without interfering with our FP+'s?

If you are staying onsite, upgrading to APs won't affect your 10 days of FPs. The sooner you upgrade, your discounts will go into effect.

If offsite, use 3 days of FPs, then upgrade to AP. You won't lose any FPs.

hiroMYhero is correct. This is exactly what we did last year. We bought a 10 day pass with parkhopper and water park. We initially had no intention of getting an AP. Our trip was planned for 16 days. We were going to do 10 park days and 8 or 9 water park days (we were going to have some days where we did both, but some days where we did water park only). About 4 days into it, we were floating around the lazy river at BB and just shooting the breeze. We got to talking about coming back to WDW, so we decided to look into the AP. After asking a few questions, we decided to upgrade. It didn't effect our FP+ plans at all, plus they refunded us for all of the parking we had paid for before our upgrade (we kept the receipts, luckily). They even gave us our discount on merchandise we had already purchased...again, we had the receipts.

I have a similar dilemna. Going for 12 days in August but can only get a 10-day max ticket. If I upgraded to an AP, will they count the money I paid for the 10 day ticket towards the AP?

Yes. They will apply the cost of the 10-day towards the AP. If you are an onsite guest, you can ask to add on two days to your 10-day ticket as that is allowed for onsite guests but you need to ask at Guest Relations.

Whoa.....first I hear of this. I thought I would have to purchase a two-day ticket for the remaining two days. So now to ponder whether I get the AP or just add-on. Have to start working on a scheme to tell my wife to return to WDW for Christmas to justify the AP's.... :thumbsup2
