Will This PTR Be A Jinx? A 2nd bday "do-over" trip. Dec '12 *Update 12/7*

That's a great idea for a scrapbook! I know Hobby Lobby sometimes has sales on their scrapbooking supplies...4 sheets for $1, half off of cardstock, etc. The place where it can get pricey is in the stickers. Do you have or know anyone with a really nice color printer? Then you could just print large clip art or something to represent the character on the page to keep it cheap but still fun. They sell cardstock that I almost always use to back my pictures that is just bigger than a 5x6 photo, so you could have one blank one attached to the page for the photo to be added, and a second one layered with white on top for the character to sign? Hmmm...I already made him a photobook autograph book for this trip, but I may have to steal this idea for next year! :rotfl:

I'll have to check Hobby Lobby for the pages. Thanks for the tip! And that is a great idea on the DIY diecuts! I'll definitely have to do that :D Thanks so much for the tips and ideas! Haha steal away! I got the idea from another DISer but I'm not a huge scrap booker so I didn't know where the best place was to get the supplies w/o spending an arm and a leg on it all. :thumbsup2 I'm going to try and start my first pages next week. I'll start with the Big Cheese himself of course!

I need more help! I have a LTT dinner ADR booked for MVMCP night. Well, I want to get lunch instead of dinner for that one since it will save us about $40 on the meal. But now I'm left w/o a meal for the party. We can get in the park at 4:00pm and I don't want to waste a ton of time eating so do you guys think we should just do a CS meal? If so, what's your favorite one? We usually default to the one in Tomorrowland but I'd like to know what your favorites are. Or tips on where/what we can/should eat that won't take up a ton of time. Should I get an early ADR for a Restaurant at a resort and then snack in the park at the party if we get hungry later?

I'm joining in, I just read your previous TR, you all had alot of bad luck :( Here is to hoping that this trip is amazing! We will be taking DS in December, he will be 16 months. I am very excited :)

Now I need to go back and get all caught up!

Joining in! So sorry to hear about your last trip. Talk about the trip from hell. Ahh. It can only go UP from here!! So be optimistic this will be the best trip ever!!! :thumbsup2

Love all those Disney shirts. I got some for DD, but I need some new ones myself. I just might have to hit up Old Navy! Thanks for the tip.

On the night of our Halloween Party, we made an ADR at The Plaza at 3pm. It is cheap, simple food and fast service normally. This way we won't waste a lot of party time eating

Joining in!

We are going in Dec too. My little boys will have just turned 3 & 4 a few weeks earlier.

We have that Monsters Inc shirt too :thumbsup2

Looking forward to hearing more of your plans.

:welcome: Thank you and yes it certainly was that. That's what I'm hoping for sure. We've already experienced the worst trip we could have had....now we should have the best trip we've ever had! :thumbsup2

Thank you! Yes ON has some great Disney shirts. I do think they have some for adults from time to time too. Definitely check it out. I really love ON.

I'm so glad you told me that! As I told you via txt I've never been there. To the point that I had no clue where it was in the MK :rotfl: I can't believe it. Now we HAVE to go there. *skips off to make ADR*

:welcome: Yay for going in December. It's my absolute favorite time to visit the parks. It's so beautiful and really gets you in the Christmas spirit. My DS is 18 months now so I can only imagine how much fun your kiddos will be at 3 and 4 at the parks. I can't wait to take Alex at 2! He just wasn't into anything at 14 months (despite being sick). He did seem to like Jake though.

That monsters Inc shirt is great!

:thumbsup2

We decided to make a few changes today. For various reasons but they make sense to us. :thumbsup2

First up, I cancelled our ADR at LTT on our MVMCP night. Dinner there was going to cost us $110 for the family so we decided we wanted lunch there so now we are eating there for lunch on 12/17 (Alex's bday). Woot! So the night of the party we are eating at The Plaza at 5:15pm. I have never eaten there before, nor did I know where exactly it was until Kelly explained it to me :rotfl: I'm looking forward to it! I haven't changed our Teppan Edo ADR yet. We've talked about it since it's expensive and we are paying OOP but everything else is about the same price at EPCOT. I'm not sure how much hassle it would be to eat somewhere else for dinner.

So the next change we made is to change our resort from AoA LM room to ASMo. We are saving about $50 by doing this and I'm actually pretty excited to stay at ASMo. I just got done looking at pics of the renovated rooms and pictures of the decor on the grounds and it's all so cute. I'm most excited about the Toy Story section. I have read that the AoA rooms are on motion sensor A/C systems and I don't like that. I'm not sure if ASMo is like that or not. I'm also wondering if ASMo has WiFi but no biggie if it doesn't I guess. It's a luxury. So that's all the changes I have for today. I haven't stayed at an AllStar resort since 2001 but I'm looking forward to it.

Glad I could be of service :rotfl:

We took Trent to All Star Movies on his first trip. He was about 2 and half. He absolutely loved Toy Story Section. Alex will love it :goodvibes

I've been a bad bad DISer lately. Sorry for being MIA folks! It got busy there for a while. You all know how summer can be :goodvibes I hope everyone is doing well! We have been selling things to make room for Christmas toys and such so we are using that money to pay on our hotel haha! Ghetto but you gotta do what you gotta do! It's nice to purge some toys out of my tiny house.

I got Alex's 18 month pictures back a few weeks ago and thought you guys might like to see my handsome little pumpkin!

thank you! Aww they just grow so fast and then next thing you know they're close to 2. The months pass so fast. I was lucky to be able to schedule these pics very near 18 mo for Alex. I won't be doing middle of the year pics next year.

Thank you! We've never stayed there but it looks great in the pictures. We're excited! :thumbsup2

Thank you! That's the book I read to him every night before bed "Goodnight Moon". Haha! Hey, his mama is originally from Florida so yeah  Thank you!

:thumbsup2 The book we read (almost) every night is The Spooky Old Tree. My mom used to read that one to me alllllll the time. I don't even really need the book in front of me, I know it by heart. Paxton giggles every time we read it.

I just had a huge trip post written up and my computer crapped out on me and lost it. Will have to rewrite and try to get it up tonight....maybe tomorrow. All that typing for nothing!!!

aww I've never heard of that one. I'll have to check it out! I don't have to have goodnight moon in front of me any more either. LOL

It's one of the older Berenstain Bear books that are for early readers so they don't have a lot of words. It's a lot of repetition!
