Will they think I am lying?

Here is the problem... I am going to Disney in December and I am thinking of emailing Polynesian Resort or Ohana's and asking what can be done for my family and I to make it special. Our party will be my husband, our baby and my Mom.

Well, all on the same day it will be: My Mother's 62 b-day, my daughter's 2nd b-day and our 7th Wedding Anniversary. I SWEAR it is TRUE!

We got married on my Mother's Birthday because she shared a birthday with HER Mom and my Grandma had passed away. So she was always sad on her birthday now. We then adopted a daughter from China and the baby they gave us shared the b-day/wedding Anniversary. (I think because the Chinese people put a lot of weight on lucky things so they chose her for us)

Anyway....
I want like a cake or an announcement at dinner or SOMETHING to mark the day.

Will they think I am full of you know what if I try to explain this all to them?

Not that you should have to prove anything but I would try to do something that would show that this really happens on the same day.
You could make a gift for your mom saying something about that date being the happiest day of the year and include pictures of everything that happened. You could takes pictures of the certifcates and collage them in a shadow box with some flowers (same as your wedding flowers) maybe a baby's rattle or anything birthday related. That would be a nice gift and anyone at Ohanas that is helping you to celebrate would know your not fibbing.I'm not sure if they would present a gift or if you would have to do it. You could ask them. You could celebrate the two birthdays that day and maybe a special dinner for your wedding anniversary the next day. Just a few thoughts.
I know how you feel about people getting the wrong idea that the 3 events on one day. My daughter shares a birhtday with a cousin and we were in WDW together a few years back and both of the girls wore birthday buttons. They were 9 and 12 at the time. And they do not look like sisters so I thought why not it is their birthday and we got some strange looks form some CM but most were happy to say Happy Birthday.

Maybe someone else will have some more ideas for you to enjoy all that happens on that day.

Good luck,
Lori

Who would make THAT one up:tongue:
How fun that they are all on the same day.
I really don't think you are going to have a problem. I would share that story with them though. It's great and I know I for one loved it. What a great daughter you are.
I think they would make it very special. I would also make some kind of buttons at home or something. I'm not real creative but if you are, maybe you could come up with something fun. I'm sure you would get a lot of attention.
I work with a young girl that went to WDW with her family. One of the bands played Happy Birthday to her on the street when they saw her button that WDW gave her. They really go all out sometimes.
Good luck and have lots of FUN:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I don't think it's too unbelievable.
My older brother's birthday is the same day as his wife's. They were married on their birthday, too. So, both birthdays and their anniversary are all on the same day... Valentine's Day.

They really don't even have to believe you, because any of those things can be purchased by you for your family. You can pay to have a cake sent, or a special dinner arranged, balloons sent to room, etc..., they don't really care why your paying for it just that you are.

We celebrated my dd's and nephew's birthday in Jan with a beautiful cake at Ohana's. We will be celebrating our wedding anniversary in Feb there as well. Disney is used to people celebrating magical moments.

What a wonderful month to be celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and just plain getting together. You can also get on the disneyflorist.com web site and see about having some items delivered to your room. I am hoping that my daughter has her twins on the scheduled date of December 5 so that they can be born on my birthday.

What a brilliant celebration !

Hope you have a truelly magical time

That would be my suggestion--for YOU to arrange something (with CM's help) in advance.

I know that occasionally a balloon will be sent to a room at no charge, but it's definitely not a guarantee.

But if you take care of it ahead of time, then it is a guarantee.

Gifts of a Lifetime or the Disney Florist are two sources; you can also arrange a cake through the resort chef.

Definitely order a cake and have it delivered to the table at 'Ohanas. That would be wonderful to celebrate there.

Have a great time.

Wendy - I am so glad you asked that question. We're going to be in the same boat on our BCV trip next summer. It's going to be DH and my 3rd anniversary, my parent's 30th, my brother's 25th b-day, DH's 26th b-day, and my mom's 54th b-day. Not all in the same day but during the course of the week and a half we are there! Isn't it fun to have all that going on at the same time!

Diseny will pretty much arrange for anything special as long as you're willing to pay for it as someone else just mentioned

That being said, if you mention the occassions as well when you book, they may make an anouncement at dinner and maybe sing or something - doesn't hurt to mention it. If you don't ask, you don't get - just don't EXPECT anything unless you pre-arrange for it. That way you won't end up dissappointed if they don't come thru. I'd defenitly call and order a cake or something though.

I doubt it.It happens. My daughter was born on my parents anniversary so that 2 there.

I don't see why they would care if you are lying or not since you are willing to pay for something. Obviously you are paying for it since it is such a special occasion. I am sure you will get great suggestions from folks on where to order cakes, balloons, and perhaps flowers or something. I am sure you can make this very special for your family if you try! Have a great trip!

How about having them send a bottle of champagne and flowers and a box of chocolate for your anniversary to your room. And yes make sure you order a cake and some balloons for your daughter's bday and your mom's bday as well. What I would do is to go ahead and order and pay for them to assure that I won't be dissapointed, especially it is a very special ocassion.

I was born on my parents anniversary. My daughter was born early (2 months) on my husbands sisters birthday. My son was born on my ex-husbands birthday. Weird huh! So, I believe....

Enjoy your trip:sunny:
