Will there be enough time?

OK we are getting married Oct. 1st. Our Disney honeymoon begins the following friday Oct 8th. We should be landing at the airport at 4:10pm. I'm just curious if there will be enough time do anything? Should we relaxe at the hotel, go to dinner, go to a park? ALl of these things none of these things? We are only going to be in Disney from Friday(4:10pm) til Monday (around 5pm)

I really want to visit all 4 of the parks and go to downtown disney. Am I being a bit ambitious? We really should relax it is our honeymoon and our 2 children will keep us busy when we get home.

Any suggestion are greatly appreciated

You can't count on your plane being on time. And it could take a while to collect your luggage and arrange transportation. Finally you might hit some traffic at that time of day. Then you will need time to check in at your hotel.

So, I would suggest only doing Downtown Disney your first night. Figure out which attractions you really want to see at each park, as you won't have time for everything. I am not familiar with the hours for October, but Epcot is usually open until at least 9:00 (Future World often closes at 7:00 BUT several attractions including Test Track and Mission Space are open later). There are a lot of nice sit-down restaurants, but I wouldn't plan on eating at many since you are on a tight schedule.

I agree with Tammy about the Downtown Disney, although I'm not sure how late they are opened. If your flight lands at 4:10, you can't expect to be at your resort much before 6.

If you haven't bought a ticket yet I would just go to Downtown Disney that night so that you don't have to waste the money for a full day's ticket.

If you bought a Ultimate Park Hopper with a package or something, I'd say go right to Epcot if you are up for it. I went in October 2 years ago (for our honeymoon), and if I recall correctly, Future World was open until 7 and the World Showcase until 9. Even if you miss Future World you can walk around the WS, find a good spot and watch the fireworks.

Make sure you get to see the "Wishes" fireworks when you are down there though. They don't have them every night in October and they are a must see. The Magic Kingdom is open until whatever time it gets dark on Wishes days. Actually the 8th is a Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party day, so maybe look in to that? Yeah, that's my best recommendation.

You asked about dinner, where are you staying? Maybe you can eat at the resort really quick, or just grab a quick bite at the park you decide to go to.

We are staying at Boarwalk Inn which I know has several good restaurants.

I have been in the same situation. Go to Downtown Disney or Pleasure Island for the night. My wife and I walked around, shopped and ate at the HoB. Disney Quest is there too.

I recomend trying for a later reservation for the Hoop de Doo dinner show. Sit enjoy the meal, have some laughs, enjoy your evening. Celebrate your honeymoon.

I always keep an open mind -- you might want to try for fireworks or Illuminations. Once I got tix for La Nouba for my 1st night, which worked out very well. Congratulations, btw! Have a great honeymoon & a very happy life together!!
