Will the walkway reopen too?

I was reading about the rivers reopening at Disneyland this summer and wondered if that includes the walkway from Fantasyland to BTMRR. The article mentioned a trestle or something like that. It was surprisingly annoying having to walk all the way around with that path closed last year.

I believe it will. It was reopened for a couple days during Christmas-New Years due to high traffic. It was great to see the new trestle in the distance.

I too am hoping this path will open up sooner rather than later. Going in early June so we can see the MSEP and hoping it might be opened up by then. Fingers crossed!

I think it was just open on select days in December/January due to crowding. It's closed currently. I hope they open it this summer too.

It was the 'old' pathway that was temporarily opened to relieve the crowding. It was open one of the days we were there after Xmas. Pretty interesting to see the construction, it should look pretty neat once it's finished. And to see Maynard, who was assigned to the pathway that day.

It was opened the 27th and 28th I believe, but closed after that. I loved seeing the trestle.

Yes, Disney has stated "Summer of 2017" for the Train and the Rivers of America attractions (Mark Twain, Tom Sawyer Island, etc.) and somewhere Disney said 4th of July for Fantasmic!, though that was quite a bit ago, So many folks hope/expect it my late July, but somewhere Disney used August in relation to the construction.
And we still have weather issues that can change the date, looks like a delay this week on the work, at least parts of it.

I am assumimg you mean 2017 but thanks so much we really missed thr train last summer so hopefully it will be back running! We are looking at the last week in July so hopefully it works out well!

OOPS, a typo, I did mean 2017, and fixed the date. And as a train fan, I understand and looking forward to its return later this year.

Well, we know they aren't always the most accurate. It hasn't been open in January at all. And they had hoped it would be open for NYE time frame, but since it is now a dirt path, they closed it when it started raining in Dec. It was open on the 26/27th, but closed on the 28th on. It was only opened there to help with the overflow of people.
