Will the Radisson hold my luggage before check-in time?

I know this seems like a minor point, but here's what I'm up against:

We will be using Tiffany or Happy Limo for transportation. We plan to go to Kennedy Space Center on Friday, so we want a full day there. I would like to have our towncar pick us up at CBR early AM and take us to the Radisson. Then we can catch a cab to KSC. Trouble is, what do we do with our luggage?

Will the Radisson hold it for us until we return from KSC?

Thanks...

You should have no problem leaving your luggage at the Radisson prior to the check-in time. Most hotels have a locked room where they place luggage both prior to check-in and post check-out.

Any idea how much cab fare to Kennedy Space Center will run? I'm considering going there upon debarkation.

I think I have a better suggestion. KSC is not that close to the port. I think you'll find a taxi ride will be quite expensive. Instead, you should rent an Avis car at the Radisson and drive to KSC yourself. It'll be less expensive and much more flexible. You can leave KSC at any time and stop anywhere for supplies/groceries/meal.

Better yet, you should rent an Avis car from Orlando and drive to KSC. You can leave your luggages in the car or drop them off at Radisson first. Then, when you're done for the dayl, return the car to Avis at Radisson. This will save you the cost of both Tiffany and taxi. :) :) :)

We got a great deal from Avis - just $30/day. That was much cheaper than a towncar or shuttle. You can drop it off at the Raddison- one way.I used a code I found on the boards- AWD code-K492101 . I booked online - good luck!

I think renting the car from Avis is a great idea! It gives you more freedom and costs alot less!

We arrived at the Radisson around 11:30 am that Friday and our room was ready so we were able to unload the car before we headed out to do other things!

Wow, thanks for all the great tips!

One question though, for MFan: You said that KSC isn't too close to the Radisson. Since we could see KSC from the deck of the Magic last year, I assumed it couldn't be more than 8 or 10 miles, which shouldn't be too bad as far as taxi fare. Am I all wrong here? Is it a lot farther than I am thinking?
Or is taxi fare just real bad?

Also, do I understand you correctly that we can rent a car right there at the Radisson, then just drive to KSC and then back to the hotel? That would be slick. I'd still ask the hotel to hold our bags for us, but if I had to I could toss them in the trunk of a rental.

Thanks again!

I just did a quick check on Mapquest on the distance. I didn't have the exact address for the KSC Visitor Center, but I used something nearby.

The distance from Avis/Radisson should be around 15-18 miles. I don't know the taxi rates in FL, but I would suspect it will be more expensive roundtrip than renting your own car and it would be more convenient. You can rent a car from Avis (either in Orlando or at Radisson) for no more than $40/day. You can find plenty of discount codes on this board.
