Will the hotel blow up a balloon if asked?

We are doing our own in room celebration and I'm going to 'forget' something and go set up before hand. I have a mickey balloon I'm hoping I can get blown up? Anyone know if this will be possible? Staying at AOA if that makes a difference?

That's a great question, surprised you haven't had a reply, so just to get the ball rolling... I'm only remembering seeing balloons for sale in the parks. I understand you're thinking of bringing a balloon from home, but my guess is "no balloon sales, no helium." You could order balloons from the Disney florist, you might want to look into ordering in advance though. As an alternative, I think Publix sells inflated balloons, if you have transportation you could purchase them there and take them to the room.

I agree with ordering from the Disney florist. I ordered a Goofy stuffed figure with several balloons attached. They were OUTSTANDING in the help they gave in ordering & with the delivery!

I don't think the resort has any helium, so I would say no to your own balloon.

We stayed at AOA in 2013. We were celebrating my son's second birthday. We asked at the front desk if they had any balloons as we were decorating our Cars suite for his party. The CM said give her a little bit and she would have someone deliver a few to the room. They not only delivered a bunch of balloons, they delivered an autographed picture of Mickey and a Stuffed Squirt toy(from Nemo) all for free. This definately was a magical momemt and will always be remembered.

Our DDs have been given a balloon a few times when we check into the resort. So I would say they would have a tank at the resort.

We were at Beach Club during Hurricane Frances in 2004, and they blew up and gave my 15-year-old daughter a helium balloon when she asked (we were strongly advised to stay in the building and she wanted to organize a hallway game for kids in rooms around ours). Of course they were bending over backward to keep everyone happy and unworried, so this might not be normal procedure.

I would ask the front desk and see what they say if they say no and you just have to have the one you brought from home and you have a car Publix will more then likely do it for you and there is one close to disney, But I have a feeling if you ask nicely disney will do it for you.

Yes they will blow up balloons. I saw they came with a Mickey head weight and that was the reason I asked if they could blow up two me and they had no problem whatsoever, plus a free souvenir!!

It sounds like this is a surprise so if you go the Disney Florist route, just be warned that they don't adhere to time requests. When DH proposed to me, he hired Disney Florist to set up flowers in our room and requested it be done after 5pm. They did it at some point between 9am-2pm because it was unexpectedly there when we came back to the room. It blew his surprise so he was pretty upset. I have heard that Disney Florist delivers the items and resort CMs actually set stuff up in the room so I'm not sure if that's true, but either way I wouldn't trust them again with a time sensitive surprise.

yea they will help you blow up the balloon - now if you were staying at AKL or AKV - then no = they don't allow balloons there
