Will the fre DDP offer increase the crowd level of mid-late August?

Here we were hoping for our trip this August might be a little less crowded...8/11-21...at least for the 2nd half ...but now with the release of the free DDP, I am worried the crowds will come...probably becasue the last time we went in August, the Fairy Tale 4/7 pkg was going on and it was jammed! Anyone else think this may add to the crowds?

As far as I can tell right now, the free DP is part of a Disney Visa thingy and not available to the general public. Unless it becomes available to everyone, I wouldn't count on seeing much of an increase in crowds.

It will become available to everyone on April 4.

It's not. I received an email from Disney because I have the Visa card. I also got an email from my TA talking about a promotion that was coming. The email gives a base price per person but does not specifically say dining is free. I didn't bother to figure out the pricing because I'm not going during the time frame.

As far as increasing crowd levels-isn't that the point? Disney wants to increase attendance.
