Will Thanksgiving be crowded?

I have really wanted to visit over Thanksgiving for the past few years, but my DH has heard that it is very busy during that time and hasn't want to travel. Hopefully, after reading this thread and learning that it isn't nearly as busy as we thought, I can convince him to go during that time.

Here is an ADR question. We will be arriving 11/16 (Fri) and staying until 11/18at CSR. Now, on the 18th we'll move to OKW under my sisters DVC until the 23rd. Do you think I could make thanksgiving ADR's on my 180 day mark even though my reservation will end the 18th? I know my sister could probably make them two days later, but at this point, it sounds like two days for Thanksgiving might make a difference:confused3 Anyone know?

We are leaving for WDW on Thanksgiving day and staying until Dec. 1. I am glad you started this thread because I would really like to know what it is like the weekend after Thanksgiving. We are planning to chill out at pools, DTD, and the like for the first few days to let the crowds pass, and then hit the parks majorly the week after Thanksgiving. I have heard that the crowds lighten up significantly after Sunday--is that true Goofyboyzmom?---[/B]

I would love to know what the crowd levels are like the week after Thanksgiving if anyone knows--thanks!!! Great Thread--Maybe we will see you down there!:thumbsup2

Last year we arrived Thanksgiving afternoon and stayed until December 2. This year we will be doing the same schedule, being there the exact days you will be. Chilling out the first days is the best thing. It's a great time to check out the decorated resorts!! Crowds were heavy Thanksgiving, Friday and Saturday. Starting Sunday, there were very low crowd levels. First three days wait times were close to 2 hours for major attractions. After that, very very minimal wait time. We were able to go on major attractions over and over again.

Have a great Thanksgiving at WDW!!

All of my Disney trips are the week of Thanksgiving. The crowds are heavy but boy what a great time to be there. The Christmas lights etc are up and the weather is great at that time of year. Go for it, see ya there Thanksgiving.
