Will TarzansKat meet Captain Jack? ~A Pirate's Life for 3 Pre-Trippie~ We're back!

Doesn't it feel great to get that kind of stuff done? I'm very jealous of how up-to-date you keep yourself with scrapbooking! The closest I've been is about 6 months behind. Then I went digital (with CM) and thought it would be so easy to get caught up. Not so much. I guess it has a lot more to do with the amount of time you put in than the method you use! Right now I have 3 memory cards that need to be put on my computers, and I'm over a year behind with my pages. Maybe I should set some goals?

I'm in awe of your scrapbookin talents. I really need to get a system in place. Maybe you can share you genius with me. I am also very intrigued about digital scrapbooking, what is that all about?

Since you're both on the Lapuette thread, maybe we should have a little scrapbooking tutorial when I'm feeling better!:goodvibes

Edit: I forgot to tell you that I was proud of you for calling Debbi!

I was proud of me too. Because I sound like carp. I mean, really, really bad. So I tried my best to annunciate so she wouldn't think I was some crazy woman.

Let us not discuss just how far behind I am with scrapbooking.

It's a sad tale of woe, eh?

Alright, how did you get in touch with Coral Reef? I'm thinking that would be a great time to celebrate Lexi's upcoming 2nd birthday, since I'm planning on celebrating our anniversary (which will have come and gone by then but who's counting!) at Cali Grill...

If you would like, hon, I can pm you the number. I actually got it from LL. She's in the know.;)

Hi.

I'm back.

I missed you and this report.

Aww....I missed you, too! I just had this overwhelming urge to call you Dubby. Do you ever watch the Middle Man?

Want to come pack for me?

You're so good at it.

A'course I'm thinking less Disney packin' and more packin' up house and home.

;)

Seriously, I hate packing, but this idea has merit.

Who knows what mysteries lurk in the shadows of Tink and BF's apartment? TK KNOWS!!!! :::insert evil laugh here::::

Just jokin'.

Or are you? :scratchin

Seeing your packed stuff and countdown calendars gets me totally excited.

And totally reminds me I ned to share day-by-day Disney countdown trivia on my own PTR.

::sigh::

The things we do for Disney. :thumbsup2

Yes, I would love some trivia when you get a chance.

And you're so right, the things we do for Disney. I didn't do even half this stuff last year! Trip binder? What's that? Countdown calendar? Huh? Ah, the beauty of the DIS.

"I got a jar of di-irt. I got a jar of di-irt. And guess what's insiiide it?"

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Nope. What is it?

:lmao:

Let me just offer you some BF quotes from Week 1 of packing:

FOUR boxes of pictures woman?!
How many totes are you going to need for your books?!
I am NOT moving anything we can throw away.
Do I get a closet this time?

Nope. What is it?

It's a show on ABC Family on Monday nights at 1000pm. Usually I can't stay awake that long, but they are seriously funny.

It's got a sci fi twist with a sense of humor, and it's really good.

:lmao:

:lmao:

That's nothing!;)

How many totes are you going to need for your books?!

Oh, if at all possible, try to distribute books with other lighter items. Because moving a box full of books...although BF is quite the in shape buff guy...not so much fun. And we don't want your ears to be ringing during LapuLapu Fest as you feel a disturbance in the force that BF is cursing you.:confused3

I am NOT moving anything we can throw away.

Okay, here, I'm with him. Moving is a great time to purge. Especially if both of you are pack rats, like me and my DH. Literally, he'll say to me, "why are you throwing that out?" And I have emotional attachment issues to stuff. Which starts me on a downward spiral of questioning why I was throwing out said item in the first place.

Now granted, some things are sacred. Like the man's Batman Action Figures. I would never, ever throw those away. That's just mean, and I love my husband. I did however insist that once he got the WiiFit, he had to throw out this ratty old exercise machine that was sitting on his side of the bed in our bedroom that he rescued from his mother's basement, then had to rig it to get it to work, which I saw him use maybe a handful of times. We pick our battles, my dear. Pick our battles.:lmao:

Do I get a closet this time?

So what does he get, like a quarter of that room?

It's a sad tale of woe, eh?

Yup. I've scrapbooked even less recently than Swans. But I can admit to myself that I just have different priorities right now (novelcoughcough). I have no doubt that I'd be more into scrapbooking if I had a family of my own, but I'm just not feeling a great urge to scrapbook all my college photos and the sporadic trips I've taken since then. And I'm okay with that.

Though I guess I could at least check my cook 12-color/4pen/8-tip marker set to make sure the ink hasn't dried out. Just in case I ever get the urge to be crafty, I wouldn't want to be disappointed.

No, we have not because in the TK clan there resides a resolute and unyielding need to quest on! To move forth! To discover!

Savvy?

And what would make TK so excited that she'd have to write this chapter now when it would seem there would be little to report?

Exactly what did I find today that made me laugh with glee, all the while doing    :yay: :yay: :yay: but all in my head?

Oh, dear friends.

Oh, dear sweet friends.

"I've got a jar of dirt...I've got a jar of di-irt...and guess what's inside it?"

Not the heart of Davy Jones, no. Something far more important and exciting and something that makes my eight day vacation really an eight day vacation. Who's with me?

It's been so long since I checked DING fares, I thought why not. Well, there were none. But that spurred me on to the Southwest website, which periodically, I like to check since that early flight on the last day just never sat quite right with this captain.

And what to my wondering eyes did appear? The beloved 310 flight. Oh 310...reasonable hour that you are...flight that causes no issues with dad picking us up from the apart, flight that gives me one last taste of the proliferous bouqet that is the Magic Kingdom, flight that I so desired.

Decreased. In. Price.

:jumping1: :jumping1: party: party: :jumping1: :jumping1:

Oh yeah!

Ask how much, go ahead ask!!!!

By switching my family from the 930 flight to the 310 flight on September 21st, it cost me a grand total of...

drumroll please...

39 dollars. Total. For the three of us. Not $39 per person, $39 total! :woohoo:

I am beyond excited! I am beside myself! I get one more day in the World! One more day to enjoy all that it has to offer! Extending A Pirate's Life for Three, more fodder for the trip report, fresh cinnamon buns for the plane ride and at home later that night. Ah, :cloud9:

That flight bounced up to $200, came down to $170, and today, it was $132. It makes total airfare for this trip $816.

Ask me how excited I am?

And ask me how well I'm doing at my budget this month...so well...that TK has a little scheme a-brewin'.

A little sumpin.

A little...park hopping if you will.

Yup. I'm fairly certain I want to add this feature back on. I reserve the right to change my mind, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be one of the first things I do when we get down there. Please, sir, can I have some more? More hopping all over the place at will? More, hey, let's get on this bus because it came first...oh I love park hopping. Oh, how happy I am that I could save for it. If we choose to use it. Which in all likelihood, I'm thinking yes.

Pirate. pirate:

Later flight! Only $39! AND Park Hopping! I am beyond giddy for you!!!

All I have stuck in my head is, "I got a dollar. I got a dollar. I got a dollar. Hey Hey Hey." From Little Rascals. Go figure. :lmao:

You know I had to go look at my Southwest flights and lo and behold the return flight is less. So I rebooked and now have a $45 credit to use. I don't know if I'll get to use the credit but it's kinda fun having it incase I need a solo weekend trip sometime in the next year!

I am going to channel my inner something and yell:

THAT FREAKIN' ROCKS!!! party:

Wow!

Who knew CP could yell like that? ;)

Heidi, I'm so happy! A $45 credit is a $45 credit anyway you slice it. I'm sure you'll find something to use it for!:goodvibes

Well, folks, the fun never ends in the TK clan.

Because this morning, when I woke up hoping my cold would be gone, and it wasn't...I was feeling particularly down and out. Especially since I've gotten to the fun hacking cough point. TMI? Probably.

But if I'm suffering, don't you want to know about it?

In my weakened state, I got up and made some nice tea with honey, settled down for my morning routine of checking my e-mail and the DIS, and thought, wait a tick....

Southwest usually releases lower rates on Tuesdays... :scratchin

So I moseyed on over :moped:

And what to my wondering eyes did appear?

The 310 flight. Dropped. In. Price. Again.

Ah, 310 flight. How I love thee.

We're now the proud owners of a $39 credit for Southwest Airlines, because that flight dropped from $132 to $119. :woohoo:

I feel good. Despite the hacking cough.:thumbsup2

Better sick now than in Disney, I guess.:lmao:

Sorry that you are still feeling poorly, but, hurray for saving even more money! You are on a roll with your airfares!

If only they would drop more! :lmao:

Although I know in the current state of the economy $119 is probably the lowest I'm looking at at this point. But it feels good! :goodvibes

BF refuses to let me "distribute" the books. "Put them in totes," he says. "I don't care if they're heavy," he says. "I'm a STRONG MAN," he says (as he beats his chest and grunts).

So I smiled.
I followed his instructions.
And I'm saving an "I told you so" for 9/28.

And I have emotional attachment issues to stuff. Which starts me on a downward spiral of questioning why I was throwing out said item in the first place.

Weird thing in common #20,987B(i)IIa.

Like the man's Batman Action Figures.

Has he gotten any of the ones from the new movie?

So what does he get, like a quarter of that room?

Maybe.
:lmao:
I did offer to give up one of the bureaus for him, though.
I haven't yet figured out where the carp currently in there is going to go but I'm sure I'll find somewhere to put it.

"I've got a jar of dirt...I've got a jar of di-irt...and guess what's inside it?"

:thumbsup2

Have some bananas. They're high in potassium.
I have NO IDEA if that means they're good for your cold.
But they DO dance.

I'm so happy your flights worked out!

You know I had to go and check my flights too, right?
Yeah.
No drops for Tink but we were satisfied with the prices we had. Flights for our departure day did drop another $10 (down to $89) but they are all later day flights, which we aren't interested in. And since we only paid $99 for our early A.M. flights, it's kind of a moot point.
