Will TarzansKat meet Captain Jack? ~A Pirate's Life for 3 Pre-Trippie~ We're back!

But let's examine true motives here: while some moms channel their desire to have been a cheerleader or beauty queen onto their daughters, I am totally using the whole GF/13th b-day to live through my daugher!!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Same with her Disney wedding in about 15 years! :thumbsup2

Okay, lord help me here. If I have another child, I want healthy one. Boy, girl, don't care, healthy. Are we clear?

That being said....oh how I would LOVE a little princess...

I admitted it. Which means surely I'll have another boy. Although I don't know. When I found out I was having a boy, I thought, surely this is God's way of telling me I should have picked out a boy's name. I had a surefire girl's name picked out, but was on the fence on a few boy's names.

Oddly enough now, I know exactly what I would name another boy...but on girls names, I'm so confused...a sign? Perhaps...;)

Yep, you'll have a girl next time, because you have no idea what you would name her! :rotfl2:

OKay...CP you are so inviting me to Chelsea's wedding. I need to live through your daughter too. :rotfl2: I will even pay for my own plate. :lmao:

DF and I have a girl and boy name picked out. The girl name changes about every six months but I really love the one we have now, we just need a middle name. The boy name never changes.

You know what...let me ask him...

okay, he's meh...:rotfl2:

None of them jump out at him...

back to square one on girl's names!:rotfl:

Men -- they always ruin those carefully laid plans! ;)

You are totally invited to Chelsea's wedding! You can even help me plan it all! :lmao:

:offtopic: Anyone know the etymology of "swimmingly"? 'Cause there are many ways in which to swim, and lots of them aren't pretty. Especially if swimming away from a shark, since essentially we just look like drowning seals. Or something.

Cough.

:rotfl:

This is as good as I can find with Google's assistance:

As for “swimmingly,” it means to do something easily or successfully. It’s known from the early 1600s.

Today, it’s typically used in the formation, “It went swimmingly.” For example, “My unclaimed luggage column did not go swimmingly.”

“Swimming,” as an adjective, has also been used to mean the same thing, though not for so long.

The usage seems a little weird. After all, swimming is anything but easy, at least for humans, even highly trained ones.

But it’s really got more to do with how easy swimming looks, especially for fish and other aquatic life. It all goes back to the oldest adjectival meaning of “swimming”—something that swims by nature.

I knew we had an accord, but could not remember the agreed upon time. If you think you can make 4, I'd love to snag you so we have plenty of time to devastate the rum supply and kindap our favorite pirate all before your Ohana dinner ressie...savvy?

:thumbsup2

but on girls names, I'm so confused...a sign? Perhaps...;)

Might I suggest:

Leia
Amidala
Elizabeth
or, my personal favorite

NICOLE

Yes. Please. Hold the applause.

:rotfl2:

When I'm tired at the end of a long day, you and Tink just have a way of making me laugh.

Thank you.:goodvibes

No prob! :goodvibes

Does DH like all of them? That's how Charles and I decided names -- the only one we could both agree on. :lmao:

My parents like to tell me how, when coming up with girls' names for me, they considered Wendy long and hard but decided against it, fearing kids would call me a hamburger. So if Wendy was in the running, you might nix that on the same basis. ;)

But of course!!! We can even mark it with a pineapple centerpiece! :thumbsup2

Chelsea's future bridesmaids to Chelsea: "Who are those strange women giggling over the pineapple and shouting 'Hala Kahiki' at regular intervals?"

Chelsea, heaving a sigh, "They're the DISers. Don't ask." :rotfl2:

Ah. ::yes:: And as Disney people, we can also apply this to Ariel. We can assume she swam well even once she had legs.

See, now I'm more of the mind that you CAN get what you ask for! I wanted a boy first, then a girl and sure enough, I got them three years apart. Of course I got two MORE girls too, but that's neither here nor there. ;)

And I was backward with the name problem - my son was hard as heck to choose! My girls I always knew would have family names (my Mom was Russian, and as a first generation here I named them after her side of the family). So we have all these Russian names and then... Kyle. :lmao:

Chelsea, heaving a sigh, "They're the DISers. Don't ask." :rotfl2:

DEDDER THAN DED!!!!!

See, when I found out I was pregnant, I had a girls name all picked out. We really struggled with DS name until finally DH and I found it in a book and both said, yup, that's it. I love the Russian names, I think it's too cute you have all these long, beautiful girls names and then... Kyle.:thumbsup2

I guess in retrospect it's good we didn't have a girl first, huh? I want to be really really sure of the name if we do, so I have plenty of time to think about it since my status change at work hasn't even kicked in yet.
