Oh what a hoot if the boy could meet Jack Sparrow. I think he'd be even more beside himself than his mama. My boy loves Jack Sparrow. He likes to watch the movies, he likes to listen to the music, and if he hears anything about pirates, he says "Jack Sparrow." Or "AR!" When he was younger, we actually taught him to say "Dead men tell no tales." And it was part of our night time routine. Right after reading a book and before kisses in bed.

I know.

We're weird parents.

I LOVE that! Seriously, I'd like to be that kind of parent. Life's too short to not live laughing. And I don't think I'd be above inflicting that kind of quirkiness on my child.

I'm trying to envision the episode in which Robin would say this. If Tink were to write it, I think it might be "Batman and Robin Scope Out DSW" (If there are DSW's out on the East Coast, that is.)

Thanks! I'm really excited about the Wilderness Lodge. I do have to say, though, I love POFQ, so good for you. It's my favorite moderate.

And for those of you who aren't from the Northeast, let me give you a little heads up about our weather here for the past week. It's been HOT. Like, Florida in summer HOT.

I curled up in an oven, nicely preheated to 350 just to compare.

Oh thank goodness you didn't cancel!!! Do you know what that would have done to me to come home and find out that you had cancelled? That's just not allowed!!!

So glad that DS loves his yellow Crocs -- both my kids wore them to a couple of parks when their tennis shoes got soaked so I can attest that for kids there were no problems!

I actually considered what everyone would say if I cancelled. Isn't that funny? I've recently developed a don't care attitude about the airfare. What will be will be. It's very freeing.

Good to know, thanks. I'm concerned about him doing heavy touring in them, so we have also got our standard pair of Stride Rite sandals coming from Shoebuy, but I like the Crocs for playing and by the pool, etc. He loves that he can get them on and off by himself, he feels like such a big boy.
