Will - something you might like in Indy this week...

We went to the track this week to show visiting relatives around, and the motorcycles were testing for the MotoGP -- they go around 200MPH and take turns almost horizontally - the drivers wear "armour" on their knees because they touch the ground when they turn. It was free to get in and the stand were open, so we got to go all the way up top where the team spotters usually go -- you can see all the way from 16th St to 30th St from there! They'll run on part of the old F1 track (although they'll go the "right" way around...)

The race should be pretty cool -- I think it is around Labor Day -- hey, isn't the Indy DIS meet around that time, too??

YEP, I heard about this awhile ago. I think its cool Indy keeps opening up the track for more events. I hope the Moto brings a good crowd, should be some exciting racing. I used to go up in the stands for free on practice days when I was there......I miss the track. Good times

Since my DH skipped out on going to Barbers Motorsport this year I'm sure the DVR is already set up to record this along with every other motorcycle race going from now until Biketoberfest.
