Will someone PLEASE tell me what I want

for Christmas!? My family keeps asking me and all I can
come up with is Peace On Earth. My brother is mad that I
can't come up with some piece of material something. I think
my Mom is just giving me money. My sister will probably give
me chocolate!!! yeah! There's just nothing I want. We'll be
in WDW during the holidays and I guess that just covers it.
Anyone else have this problem?

You don't have to come up with some big, huge, major present - how about ideas for little, simple, everyday items just to appease them.

Some things everybody needs:

Hangers
Pencils
Pens
Notepads

I'm sure others can add a few more...

DH is going nuts asking me what I want... I told him that I really don't want anything. I even looked through some sale flyers hoping to get some ideas, but there really is nothing that I want. I'm low maintenance...

I never want anything, either. I always tell DH that I would like him to give me something he wants me to have.

This year we are skipping the gifts, we will be on the road moving CHristmas eve and day, our Christmas is the move, that we sold our house in less than 48 hours, and that DH has a great new career ahead of him.

Next year I can be back to my Grinchy self.

No, I don't have that problem, because I have very little. But my MOther is driving me nuts with the "I don't want anything" garbage. Everything she has is so cheap, but I guess that's the way she likes it! I offered a trip to Europe (in 2 years, was going to start buying travel stuff now) -- she refuses to get on a plane! Her house is filthy; I offered to hire a maid service -- she says she won't let them in the door! It's really getting on my nerves!

I'm feeling the same way, doc rafiki. My parents and my boyfriend both know i don't have much money right now, so any time i ask them they say 'don't buy us anything.' My sister is in the same situation as i am, doesn't have much money, and she just moved across the country w/o taking practically anything, so i keep buying her presents, just to feel like i'm buying SOMETHING for someone, and because I know she'll be happy w/ anything I get her. but then everyone says 'haven't you bought her enuff presents' and i feel like saying WELL I'D BE BUYING YOU SOMETHING IF YOU'D TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT! grr. ok thanks for letting me vent.

My problem too. The things I want are way out of line price wise (I really want my basement waterproofed, my bathroom re-painted and papered but that also entails new tile and sheetrock, a new mattress, a bed frame). Dad already gave me $ early because he thought we could use it in WDW (I'd been sawing last years Christmas $ and this years birthday $ for the trip, so I just tucked it away for the next trip). I'll probably find something I really want in mid-January.

I really don't need or want anything but when DH asked I said some bath & body items, maybe a shirt and a date night (he also wants this for Christmas). You can always use any of these things.

I'm in the same boat. DH is harrassing me daily to get me to tell him what to buy me.

We don't have a lot of excess money this year. We are already getting the Sopranos 4th season DVD set and FL resident seasonal passes to WDW as gifts to each other. Actually, we were buying the WDW passes anyway, but I suggested we make it our Christmas present, rather than spending more money we really can't afford to spend.

I don't see the point in spending money on something I don't need just so I have something to open on Christmas, and I really don't see the point in wrapping up notepads and hangers (no offense, trishy)

It seems to me that Christmas is really about something other than buying and giving stuff to each other. Hmmm, now, what could it be?

I hate to get (and give) "stuff", so people usually get me things I can use up. This year I got an annual membership to the local zoo and a season parking pass for the forest where I hike.

I really need socks and I hate buying them... I also requested a new set of measuring spoons...

My needs are simple and my wants are insane
