Will POR make me change rooms?

Checking in to POR on August 13th, garden view room. Because of the timing and discounts, we had to make two separate reservations. 8/13 - 8/15 MYW and 8/15 - 8/21 room only, also garden view. I asked the phone CM to link the two reservations, hoping that will help. She acted like I was crazy and there was no need but begrudgingly agrees to link them (I hope she actually did it!). We will be on another trip where we will not have access to a fax machine for two weeks prior so I won't be able to fax the request to stay in the same room. Do you think they will make us move? Any experiences with a similar situation? I know it is what it is, and I know it isn't a big deal either way. I am just curious what others think? And of course, obsessing because I can't wait! Thanks for any thoughts.

You may and you may not. You have done everything you can do.

We just stayed at POR this month. We had 2 room reservations, June 22-23 and June 23-July 7, also because of discounts. When I booked it the CM who has been doing reservations for 20 years made it a continuing reservation so we would absolutely not have to change rooms. And we didn't have to. Stayed in the same room the whole time. Hope the same is true for you!

I have had a similar situation at POR. I asked at check in and she made a note and said she could not guarantee it but they would consider it. We didn't have to move though.

Have a magical time!

Since they are both garden view, probably not. It depends on occupancy. If they are at or near capacity, it becomes difficult for room assigners to meet all guarantees first, and requests second. Since you are staying garden view back to back, it would be up to the room assigners to keep you there rather than fill someone else's request, if necessary. The good news is that I don't think they will be at max capacity that time of year. But If I were you, I would call back to confirm you reservations are linked and maybe notate each reservation that you wish to remain in the same room if possible.
