Will Pop Century accomodate 5?

Will a standard room at the POP accommodate 5 people - 2 adults, 2 17yo's and a 6yo. I know we were kinda crammed in there last time with only 2 and 2. My son's friend would like to go with us --- but unsure if we'll have the room - maybe get a roll away or a air mattress?

I believe that you can only have 4 in a standard room at Pop.

Nancy was right -- 4 to a room in the values, plus one infant under 3 in a crib.

You may have to switch to POR which is a moderate that can accommodate parties of your size. Or a DVC, the FW cabins, or most of the deluxes...

Four is the max for a room at Pop. You could move to a family suite at the All Stars or the Alligator part of POR has rooms for five (they have a trundle bed)

I tried for suites at the Music - no suck luck.
I will have to try the Port Orleans and see what they have.

Otherwise, I'd need 2 rooms at the Pop - same price as the POR i guess

I know I've stayed at the Movies several times - accommodated 4 nicely ... 6 would be a tight squeeze in my opinion -- how did you manage to accommodate 5?

And what do you do about the people that you can't include on the reservation? The max allowable occupancy at Pop is 4, plus an infant under 3.

He didn't do it within the rules unless the 5th person was under 3. An extra person would not be able to ride the Magical Express or attend Extra Magic Hours because they would not have a room key card. You could be asked to leave if you have more people than allowed and Disney finds out

POR said trundle bed for children under 9 only .. Unsure if 2 17yo's are going to share a bed! LOL

Maybe my best bet is to stay off property --- I would hate to do that to my daughter though who is sooo looking forward to staying in Disney again.

The occupancy limit for a Pop room is 4 persons plus 1 child under the age of 3.

I'd recommend getting two rooms at Pop. I think POR would be a bit tight for your group; you'd have the trundle for the 6 year old, but the sleeping situation for the 17 year olds would be as uncomfortable as it would at Pop - you've still got the double beds.

Two rooms at Pop gives you two bathrooms, and four beds. Much more comfortable for everyone.

Yes, thats what I was thinking ... they will not give the 2 17yo's a room though, so I'd have to take the chance of a guaranteed adjoining rooms...
Plus, it'll be double the cost - which I'd have to expect my son's friends parents to pay ... thats alot of money IMHO.

I would think it is not unreasonable to ask a 17 year old, or a 17 year old's parents to help pay for the child's vacation. I think it's awesome to take a friend along, but since it puts you in the area of needing a larger room, have you checked the cabins in fort wilderness? That has a room with a bed, and a bunk bed, as well as a murphy bed in the other room. the 17 year olds can sleep in the bunk beds.

I agree Miaka - But to expect one person extra to pay for a full extra room for 6 nights is something I don't think I can ask her for. She's already asked me how much I'd like them to put towards to the room - but to say well the full price is a tad unfair I think.
I could be wrong.
I will check out the Wilderness. I don't want to put my husband and I out either - regarding finances.

Just checked the cabins, they are not available for our dates.

The Carribbean Beach and the POR is available - both have 2 doubles like the POP *besides the trundle bed at the POR* and is only 300.00 or so more expensive than I'm already paying.
That I could mention to his mother - thats not unreasonable to me anyways.

Don't ask for adjoining rooms....tell them you need connecting rooms. I made that mistake and found out adjoining rooms are rooms that are just "near" each other. They don't necessarily even have to be next door to each other.

They won't allow you to book 5 people into CBR; the occupancy limit there is the same as Pop.

For moderates and values, your only options are:

2 rooms at any value
ASMu Family Suite
2 rooms at any moderate
Trundle bed room at POR
Cabin at Fort Wilderness

I know you said that the family suites are all booked, but I just wanted to mention those for other readers.

OP please keep in mind that while you can request connecting rooms, there is no guarantee you will receive them. Disney will do their best, but it is not a for sure thing.

Either 2 rooms at the POP - or the POR trundle bed - i wonder what the weight limit is on there? Room is probably the same size as the POP
