Will Old MBs From Previous Visits Open My Board Walk Room/Gate This Nov.?

Title says it all, we've brought old MBs on WDW trips as back ups, never had to use one and the question arises, will they open our door and lift the parking lot gate after we arrive this Nov? While we're at it, how about getting us park parking?

Yes your old magic bands will work the same way that your new bands work. They now give us the option to decline new bands, I never decline, but the fact that you can, is because old bands are just as good. One exception is ride pictures, only if they are really old and the battery has died.

I'm probably stating the obvious but they must be active on the MDE account and you must be checked in. But yes they all work the same.

Just checked, all 5 old bands are still active, we'll test them on the resort room door when we arrive and toss any dead ones.

If you want to use them interchangeably, it is best if you check the fact it opens your door when you aren't in a rush and have the new one. The old ones will automatically work for tickets, fp+, and photopass but they do not always automatically work on the resort doors (unless you have declined new ones) so I usually check when we first arrive and if it doesn't unlock the door I just go back downstairs and have it reactivated for the door as well.
