Will not use Tiffany Towncar again

When I called to make my ressie they were nice and helpful. When I called to change my ressie at the last minute again they were nice and helpful.

When we actually got to the airport they were rude and unhelpful!

First the driver was 40 minutes late! I was in a panic because the airport was closing at noon and they weren't there yet. I was afraid that something had happened and the company decided to cancel ressies due to the impending storm. When the driver strolled in I asked her why she was late and she was very rude and said that she arrives basically when she gets there and it takes us time to walk from the gate to baggage claim so therefore in her eyes she was only 10 mins late. I told her that our plane arrived at 10:22 and was told a driver would be waiting for us at the baggage claim not us waiting for them.

So we get over that hurdle. Again, I was told making my ressie that the driver would handle the bags etc. So there I stand with two babies, two strollers, my mother and six bags and the driver tells me she isn't carrying any of my bags. Okay then make arrangements to have them taken to the car. She says no, it's my responsibility.

Now I am really angry and frustrated I go to the pay phone to call the company and the person on the phone was just as rude if not worse than she was. He told me she was a driver not a baggage carrier. I told him that is not what was told to me when I made the ressie and he didn't really care. I told him to forget it and walked right past the driver got a porter and took a cab.

I will never use this company again.
 
I used Tiffany many times. The last two times I had the same experience as you with them not helping with the bags. I was shocked. I even had to get one of the bags that my 8 year old was trying to drag. I have not had a problem with them arriving late, though. They have always been on time. I would have tipped them more, but held back because of the lack of help with the luggage. Is this a new policy with Tiffany?
 
We've used them many times and they've always taken the bags. I'll let you know what happens this Wednesday when they pick us up. I hope they are not changing policies. We have always been happy with them!
 
We haved used Tiffany several times, always on time and friendly. they have always grabbed one of our bags and helped us, but do you really expect one person to take all your luggage??? Get a porter at the airport if you need help with the bags. Tiffany has always treated us great and from what I have heard from others we aren't the only ones. I will continue to use them in the future.
 

I wonder if this is new that they won't take your luggage. We've used Tiffany a couple times and they always have. Last trip we used Cartier because I wanted a limo and they were cheaper. Well that is when we found out that Cartier doesn't take our luggage! The driver did flag down a porter that helped us to the limo. Maybe all companies are going to be like that now. Anyway we had an overall bad experience with Cartier and will never go back to them. I just booked Tiffany again for my upcoming trip. I hope I don't get the rude driver or I will set her straight real quick!
 
Yes I did expect one person to take my luggage when at the time of reservation it was clearly explained to me that the driver will take care of the luggage.

Additionally, I did not feel comfortable paying this person the whole fee upon arrival at the resort. If this person was so rude and shady at the airport, after they got their fee how would I know they would show up to pick us up on the way back?

There are probably wonderful drivers for the company and wonderful reps on the phone, but unfortunately one bad apple spoils the bunch for me.
 
Tiffany STINKS!!! I've used them 3 times, and on the 3rd time, they were horrible - NEVER AGAIN! They were late and had a bad attitude. I'm switching to FL tours for my upcoming trip. People - don't risk it with Tiffany.
 
Sorry you had such a poor experience. We've been using them for more than 8 or 9 years now I believe and we've never had a bad time. Their drivers have always been on time, not once were they ever late. And they've always been helpful.

Granted, whenever they try to take mine or my partner's bags, we have always declined. I'm 6'4" and in good shape, Joe is 5'8" and built like a powerlifter. We can manage, believe me.

In fact, on our last trip in October, 2003, our driver was a petite woman. When she offered to help us with our rather sizeable luggage, we once again tried to decline. Then she grabbed mine and Joe's bags, hosted one over her shoulder, the other tucked under her arm, demanding to do so "since you already paid for it!"

Embarrassing and a lesson learned about petite women! LOL!

We had used Tiffany this past summer, there were 7 of us and a lot of luggage, but the driver did help us get the luggage off the carousel, and then helped my 73 year old mother carry her luggage to the van.
I've used Tiffany before and had good service, I think that if you read these boards they are complaints and raves of great service from each company.
We are using FL tours in December, but I would not hesitate to recommend Tiffany.
 
Sorry to hear about your bad experience. We always use Tiffany and have never had a problem. We request a van and our favorite driver, Berkley Edwards. He offered to take our luggage and he is always early and waiting for us. I plan on using them again for our next trip in april.
 
We've used them many times (maybe 6 or 7) and never had a single unpleasant experience with them. They have always helped us with the bags, but they have never taken all the bags from us. I didn't expect them to do that, though.
 
We've used them many times, but it has just been these last two that they wouldn't help with the luggage. The driver used to be waiting with one of those luggage carts you get for $2 at MCO, but no more.

We have used Tiffany for at least 8 of our trips. We have always been happy with the company's service.
We will be using them again on our next trip.

Our last trip the Tiffany driver didn't help with the bags, but then I already had a cart with our bags on it. We arrived on two different flights and I arranged the pickup for the later flight. I checked two bags and hubby and the boys who were on a commuter jet gate-checked 1 bag and hubby's ECV. Their flight arrived 45 minutes after mine. By the time I made a pit stop, grabbed a cart and got our bags, hubby and the boys were touching down. The Tiffany driver showed up at the elevator about 5 minutes after they touched down and hubby and the boys arrived about 5 minutes after that.

The driver did help load everything in the van and helped unload the van at POFQ.

We're using Tiffany Van Service with 6 people and 3 ECVs in September, so we'll see that goes.

It's one thing to just expect the driver to handle the bags but the OP was told when making the reservation that the driver WOULD handle the bags and only when they were there with kids, mom, and bags in tow, did they find out that they would not have help when they were told and planned for something completely different.

It seems to me that Tiffany did not fulfill their part of the agreement.

If I ask a specific question about service and am told that it will be provided, I expect that service to be provided. I don't think that is an extraordinary request - for someone to actually deliver what they said they were going to deliver.
