how excited can a 43 year old mother of 3 get anyway!:cool1:

February can NOT get here soon enough! Im on every website i can think of, reading everything i can get my hands on, ive called the disney folks about 11 times already...studied the restaurants i want to eat at, and looked at numerous pics and trip reports!

And i keep saying "I" because not only am i a comando planner but my kids don't know yet that we're going...we're not telling them til Christmas...if i can keep my mouth shut!

BUT...being the planner means i wont have the 'oooh and ahhhhh' WOW experience, i dont think. Will I? :confused3

Don't worry you will still have the WOW moments. I spent almost a year planning and strategizing our last trip to WDW and I'll tell you what. I still got teary eyed at rope drop every day. I still found more WOW moments the I can count.

WDW started as our after thought. Our main reason for our trip last year was to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Both blew me away even after hours upon hours of obsessing on forums, blogs, and websites.

I was so moved that what was originally going to be a once in a lifetime trip has now turned into anything but that.

I am planning our next trip for Sept 2012. The kids don't know when we are going. There was no way for me to completely hide my trip planning so they think we are going in Nov or Dec. I am hoping to keep our dates secrete until we are getting ready to head out in the car. DH and I are planning on packing them on the sly and packing the car the night before we are going to leave. It is going to take some work but it should be our first WOW moment for our return trip.

You will still find your WOW moments even with commando planning...I know I did.

Hope you have a Magical Trip. pixiedust:

It definitely won't take away the WOW factor! You will love it! Maybe even more so because you planned it. You will see your kids' smiling faces and you will know that everyone is happy through your hard work and planning!

It will be amazing. Make every day count! :thumbsup2

Personally I think all the planning UPS the WOW factor! :goodvibesYou plan out things so you aren't arguing over what park and where to eat... Your day is planned and you only have to enjoy it. Trust me. People who don't plan repeatedly have high expectations that are NOT met, because they didn't take the time to make things happen.

Have a WONDERFUL trip and good luck keeping the surprise! I don't think I could!!! :thumbsup2
