Will my ice cream melt?

We are new DVC owners (bought in on Cruise last August.) Home resort BWV.

We will be at OKW for 5 nights in next weeks (Sun-Thurs). Our plane gets in at noon, and I was planning on going shopping first before we check in. If I buy ice cream and my "home" is not ready at 1 /1:30 will they be able to put it in a freezer and hold it for us? Or should I plan on eating ice cream soup for dinner?

And while I don't know if it's the norm or I just got lucky we decided kind of last minute for this trip (mid January) I was flexiable about where I would stay and they had a 1Br for 3 nights at OKW, which I took. It was too late to be wait listed so I just waited and kept calling back for my other nights (I did book a cash room just in case...) I was able to add the 4th night about 6 weeks out and then at the 4 week time they added me to the wait list for the last night. The wait list came through 3 hours later.

Although I have not used the service, I have been told that they will store your perishables in a refrigerator until your room is ready. I would think they would also have a freezer. Call the resort and /or MS and I am sure they will confirm this.

We have used the service at OKW a few times. When we shop we ask the bagger to put the refrigerator items together and the frozen items together. When you get to OKW ask the Bell Captain at the entrance desk by the bus stop to store the items for you.

Plane lands at noon, get off and walk to get luggage, then to car rental.. It is now 12:45 if all goes well. Now on to road and to store. Arrive at Super Walmart at 1:20 and start shopping...onto WDW property at 2 pm. Stand in check in line and get room...now 2:30. Give bell stAff all perishables and walk around. Go into front hall of Olivia's and call for room....it is ready, drive to door and call for perishables and any other luggage..start vacation!!!!

Where is there a Superwalmart on the way to WDW?

There is definately a superwalmart not too far. Maybe 20/25 minutes from OKW. That actually was were I was planning on doing my grocery shopping for the week. It's on I 92 around marker 15 or 16. My DH is not here right now, he would now exactly where it is. When he returns I'll post exact spot.

DH came home. Walmart is by marker 16 on I92 right past Medieval Times.
