Will my GHD hair straightener work in DW (coming from Aussie land)

Oh no....I was just reading a UK trip report and they took their GHD hair straightener and it didn't work in the US. We want to use ours whilst in DW (coming from Australia) we have the power plug adaptor thingie so does anyone know if it will work or not? I would hate to have a bad hair day in DW cause my GHD won't work hehehehe. Please tell me it willl!!!!!

I would assume the only way it wouldnt work is if you didnt have a adaptor. I did a webserch and it looks like if you have the adaptor for the outlet you would be fine.

Thanks everyone, have found out that due to our voltage being higher here in Australia 220 compared to 110 in USA, I have to geat a voltage adaptor...so will be off to look for one

Just a comment regarding keeping hair straight at WDW: if you're going in the summer months, have a backup plan (or favorite hat)! The humidity will make all your hard work useless before you make it to the park entrance. I speak from sad experience: even with serum, straightening balms, and hairspray, my hair was a frizzy mess before I even got from my room to the bus stop. This past summer I just used a ton of "downplay" and gel (John Frieda products specifically for curly/frizzy hair) and let my wet hair curl as it wanted in the parks, since it would have probably done that anyway.

Well, when we were in Australia last year, I used an adaptor with my U.S. purchased hairdryer and it overheated and burned out anyway. Hopefully, the reverse doesn't hold true for you!
