We booked Hoop-de-doo for our Dec. trip (called right after the 1 year mark, so I think we have good front and center seats). I know my older sons will love the corny jokes and skits, but anyone have experience with a 2-year-old? Will he be entertained? He's high energy! If he'll be bored, I might cancel one person's ressie and have someone stay "home" at the resort with him. I'm working hard to plan all entertaining ADRs for him, so we don't have to spend every meal wrestling him back into his chair! :rotfl:

If your close (and it sounds like you could be) it helps. Does he settle down for other shows?? Movies??

Still with a 2 yo BOY... could be tricky. If someone is willing to hang out with him in the back if he gets fisty....

Tough call... ya know?

I asked the same question not to long ago regarding my 2.5 DD. We made an ADR but are still considering cancelling it. We may just wait until she is older that way we just don't have to worry about it. I'd hate to pay that amount of money only to have someone miss the majority of it.

I am going Feb. 1st with DD4 and DS2. I'll post and let you know. I'm concerned about it but really wanted to go. I saw the Hoop Dee Doo in 1988 and I'm anxious to go back :teeth:

My 4yr old dgd loved it. There are a lot of things going on enough changes that he should be able to watch it. At that age attention span seems to be about 5 to 10 minutes and with all the music and things going on you should be okay.

My youngest was 2 the first time he went and there is so much going on that he was occupied the whole time. Wasn't a problem in the least.

We're going back for our 8th time in June (he's 13 now) and he still laugh's hysterically at Six Bits even though he knows most of the lines by heart.

My daughter was barely 3 and loved it. She danced and hopped around and loved playng the washboard at the end. Guess 3 might be a little above a 2 yr old, but not a ton!

I have never taken a 2 year old here but each time we have gone there are lots of little ones and they seem to love it. Since it seems to have something going on all the time, they are entertained the whole time.

We took my little brother there when he was one, and he was entertained.. all the singing and dancing seemed to keep him happy.

We took my DD at just a little over 2 and she loved it. She clapped and danced and laughed, though I know she didn't 'get' the jokes, lol, she was just laughing along with everyone else. ;) She had a great time. We went back to FW later in the week for more pony rides and she kept pointing at Pioneer Hall wanting to know where 'the musics' were.

My grandson was two the first time he went and he LOVED it. He laughed and clapped the entire time. Besides, I don't think anyone sits still at the Hoop Dee Doo. This is not the Candlelight Processional, afterall. It's a dinner show with a whole lot of interaction, slapstick humor, and songs. Heck, you'll even play a washboard before enjoying your dessert. Go! I think you'll all have a great time.

We're going again in December, too. Maybe we'll see you there. :flower:

324 days and counting . . . again!

We went in December with DD, then 26 months. She LOVED the show. They brought her some mac and cheese since she is not a big chicken fan. Several of the performers made a big fuss over over DD which was very cute. I think you should go....have fun!!
