Will my 10yr old be able to choose from child's menu on free dining if she wants to?

We will be going to a couple of restaurants where I think my 10yr old DD may not like the adult choices. Being on the free dining plan will she be able to choose a kids meal if she wants to and have it taken off of the adult table service credit or will she be forced to take and adult entree?

Technically, it depends on the restaurant, but practically, I haven't heard of anyone who wasn't able to do that. They may give you a larger portion for her, and will charge you an adult credit (and if you're not on the ddp they may charge you more for her meal), but you should be okay. I hope so, anyway, since we'll probably be doing the same thing.

One tip I've read is you can often order the appetizer and dessert from the adult menu, but the entree from the kids' menu. It would give her a little more food and variety without forcing her to eat seared tuna with olives and caper sauce while her siblings are eating chicken strips and fries.

My 11 year old ordered from the kid's menu for every meal. We didn't mind using an adult credit as long as he got something he would eat. He did order from the adult dessert menu a few times if he saw something he liked.
