Will MS really cancel your reservations if you are the lead on two?

We have run into this issue. More then once. Member services even went as far to say no one in my party could be on multiple overlapping reservations. This has caused us unwanted split stays. We have 50 points at BCV and larger contracts at OKW and BWV. We like to use Stormalong Bay but keep the room at another resort.it gives us access to SAB and the ability for us, the Grandparents, to either have a night alone or give a night alone to our son and Dil without the hassle of moving resorts but having SAB access for 2 days. MS has never cancelled a reservation on us for double booking but, when they realize we did, I have to add a lead to the new resort and take them out of the longer 2 br stay, the add them back after the one night at BCV. The other hassle since they don't give access to SAB, unless you are staying at BCV, everyone has to move even though the room allows x number of slots per room size. This wreaks havoc with fp+ too. So, instead of taking a mid 10 day trip break hanging around SAB,either 2 moves have to happen or we go the last night of our stay with everyone. They claim fire code rules. We used to be able to do this but not anymore. Again, they have never cancelled, just made us switch around the plans we had in place.

I have not had MS cancel a reservation (without me requesting it) up 'til recently. I typically make all reservations in my name and add/drop the appropriate people to the appropriate reservation the closer we get to the arrival dates (since it is normal for me to have add/drops).

So, I have an upcoming reservation for Thanksgiving at BLT. I booked 11/23-25, and 26-27 with the night of the 25th missing. I WL'd the night of 25th specifying no borrowing points and no replacing any reservation. I started to get really worried around the 7 month mark that the night wouldn't come through and we would end up moving twice so, I booked 25-27th at AKV using VGC points (I didn't want those points used if the WL came through. I figured I would go back in and cancel the AKV ressie myself).

Happy Day! The WL finally came through on 19 Jun. However, the AKV reservation was cancelled and the VGC points were used for the new reservation. Member services combined the WL night (25th) plus the 26th at BLT on to one reservation, but not the first two nights. It could have been bad for me if I had planned to use the other AKV reservation for additional family members--so I think in future I will just use my name on one and DH's name on the other. I was able to call member services and get all 4 nights combined using only BLT points for the ressie, so all's well that ends well.

When I set up our November vacation for 2 2-bedrooms I called and the CM just put me on one and my wife on the other. I found out about it by looking on the DVC website, no big deal whatever works.
