We haven't used the on board cleaning service too much, since we generally bring enough clothes for the entire cruise. However, we're about to go on the 15 day Panama Canal, so we expect to use the cleaning service more than before.
I know they clean shirts, pants, suits, dresses, etc. How about ordinary laundry items (t-shirts, underwear, socks)? Will they do those for us too? I think on a cruise we don't want to spend any time at all watching self-service washers and dryers, and it would be nice to be able to pack fewer clothes if we can get everything cleaned through room service.

We did the Panama Canal and I packed for a week. We did clothes and had the service do the more formal wear.

I'd easily reach $100-200 on a 7 nt cruise. I'd rather do my own and plunk that $ down on a future cruise instead. To each his own.
