Will Kohls let you use expired Kohls Cash?

Has anyone ever tried? Didnt know whether to throw it away or not.

I tried and was successful once. We'd just had about a foot of snow and no one was getting out and shopping during the last day of availability. The manager told me to use it with online shopping next time so I doubt it'd work again but you never know!

I'm kicking myself as I had a $20 Kohl's cash in my purse and found it over a month later.
I was in Kohl's and saw an employee that looked as though he would be able to tell me if I could use it. He said that they tend to be leanient with dates until the next promotion comes up and that mine was a bit too old.
I may ask at a different Kohl's and see what happens.
If yours has just expired, I would try to use it right away. Good luck.

I think it's hit or miss, and often it's store-specific. But I believe they've gotten more lenient on accepting Kohls cash late - and if one store won't accept it, if there is another in reasonable driving distance, I'd try it.

I used mine no problem and was also told that if you know about a coupon you can tell them what it is and they will honor it. You don't have to even have it.

As long as they are like this and offering great customer service they have my business! I was so mad at myself for letting it expire and was super impressed when the honored it!

My Kohls took mine one day late. I asked and was told that they would honor it for three days beyond the expiration date. I've thrown mine away in the past, but now I would go in and ask just in case.

My kohls will honor it no matter how late but store mgr is also way to lenient to IMO. I know the last round( dec 25- jan 2) of KC was still scanning thru system on WED (1/4) and Friday ( 1/6) It had to be put in Manually.

It depends on the store. The one by me let me used KC that was more than a year old.

I had no idea that they accepted expired KC until I was there one day shopping. The girl asked me to sign up for the email so that I could get the $5 coupon. I told her that I already did but forgot to use it before it expired. She told me that they accept the expired coupons as well as expired KC. When I found the expired KC, I called just to be sure since it was pretty old. They said no problem bring it in next time I was there. I did and didn't have any problems.

I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to use my expired Kohls Cash last weekend - used two cash/coupons, one had an expiration date of Fall 2010. It doesn't hurt to ask.

I've been told at both of my local Kohl's stores that they will take it 1 day late, but not after that, so yeah, it's hit or miss. I do bring mine with me after the 1 day mark & ask, but have been turned down the few times I've asked.

Yes, mine does. In fact, they told me when I got it that they would accept it late.

The official policy is that they are supposed to take it, no matter how late it is. So if you run into an unwilling store, write or e-mail corporate headquarters. They will be more than happy to make it right for you.

Wow--I just used some that was 9 months old- they told me they will take them no matter when they expire at my store!

I was talking with an employee last month, mentioning how mad I was that I had forgotten to use my Kohl's cash for the last promotion. She told me they honor the cash after the date, no questions asked. She said it would be good for at least six months! This is only for in-store use. Online purchases do require valid dates.

My DD works at Kohl's and they will always let you use expired cash at least at her store. One person had one that was a year old and they said she could use it.

I really wish they would just give you the $10 off with your current $50 purchase (like JCP but I don't like to shop there!). It'd be so much easier to not have to try to remember to use it. Of course they are hoping just to get you back in the store to buy and when use your $10 that you'll spend much more than that amount. Unfortunately, their strategy usually works on me.

Good suggestion. I'll write corporate and keep the e-mail handy in case I run into the situation in the future.
