Will it happen at Midnight?

rentayenta, yes, you can make a room reservation now and then switch it to a package deal later. That's what I've done for my reservation in January 2009.

They "quote" you the high-season rack rate from 2008 as the price and you have to pay one night's deposit. That's what it cost me, anyway.

So when the 2009 rates come out, can I book now, and then apply a rate if it becomes available? Is there a certain % that makes up the deposit?

I am also wondering the same thing:confused3 Can I book my package (already have the RO ressies) and later on if I find a good code...can I apply it to my package????

You can change your ressie as much as you want until the final payment date.
Last year I booked my package, and then when the Canadian deal came out I switched it all over and saved $$.
I just want to play with prices tonight and see what its all going to cost me, and also compare my room only ressie quote to what the website says, as my quote seems high right now.

sorry, mousefan215, the only help I can provide is that I've got a room-only reservation for January 2009. I was told I can't book any kind of package until the 2009 rates come out.

I don't know any details about your question of booking a package and then applying a new code to it later.

Yes you can book a package and apply a code later. I did this last year, as well as many many others.

The tickets apparently had a 4%-5% increase, who knows if the packages and rooms will have the same increase. So just keep waiting...

From room rates people have been reporting, some rooms have stayed the same, while others have increased $9-10 a night.
