Will it be too hot for long sleeve rash guards at CC in May?

We love rash guards/sunshirts to protect our skin from sunburns and use them all of the time. Will it be too hot to use long sleeved ones in early May on an Eastern Caribbean cruise? Or will they be fine and not too hot? Should we go for short sleeved ones?
TIA.. from us and our skin...

I'm planning on long sleeve in August. I see people using the long sleeve ones at all times in the summer.

I prefer long sleeves! All you have to do is get the sleeves wet and they keep you cool until they dry. there's absolutely no problem if you're in the water for most of the day. I've never been uncomfortable wearing my long-sleeve rash guard in the Bahamas or Caribbean in on any of our cruises.

You should be fine with long sleeve. My wife and I have worn them at CC in May. In fact we wear them in Bonaire ( just north of Venezuela) when we go on dive trips in late May (much hotter always 79-85 degrees).

We plan on taking our shorty wetsuits in may. We always wear wetsuits even in Maui in the middle of summer. I think a long sleeved rash guard would be just fine.

We use them year round, even WDW in July and Maui in May. It's never too hot for long rash guards... when the alternative is trying to reapply enough sun screen to go home without a sun burn.
