Will it be more busy than I thought??

We have a trip booked for 12/5/08 - 12/14/08. We booked this time thinking it was one of the slowest times of the year (right in-between the Thanksgiving and Christmas crowds). But, I am having a VERY difficult time booking any ADRs at the restaurants we like (Ohana's, Coral Reef, Chef Mickey's, etc.). I usually book all of this right when I am able (180 days out), but this trip just came up about 2 months ago. I got around to calling for ADR's about a month ago, and found that there is NO availability for any day, at any time at any of these places for the entire time we're going to be there!! Also, getting decent seats for La Nouba was not possible. Was I mistaken that the crowds are light during this time? Will it be packed, or is it always difficult to get ADR's this close to the dates, no matter when you go? Do I have any hope of eating?? Any advice?

I dont have an actual answer to your question. But we are going from the 6th of Dec to the 16th and from what I see on here, it seems like it is going to be pretty busy. Also on the disney visa free dining, these dates were excluded, so they must be pretty popular or already booked for them to exclude them. Oh well it will be fun anyway!! Yup, us too... I THOUGHT I was doing good by booking at this time... but like everyone else, we are sadly mistaken. Oh well... a moderately busy day at Disney is better than a day at home ANYTIME!

I am starting to worry too. We booked 12/7-12/13 back when we got a 40% off code in the mail. I think in June. Thinking great time of year to go, we'll go without the kids and have a blast. Did Deluxe dining, planning on Cirque etc. So far, I can't get reservations to 1/2 the stuff we wanted to do, I can't get a Candlelight Processional package at any of the rest in Epcot, The only Hoop De Doo on the last night. It has been never ending so far. I am hoping once we get closer to the 45 day mark, with the economy the way it is, alot more people will be canceling. Not that I don't want them to go, I just want one little reservation at Le Cellier. Maybe somebody will let go of a few of their reservations and still make the trip.

We were waiting to get the Cirque tickets, I guess from your post I need to rethink that as well. Then I hear POP Warner is in town too. Oh well...hopefully we all will be able to get something!

well there will be Pop Warner there at that time and most likely locals will be enjoying the parks to see the Christmas decorations before it gets too packed.

It's also the time when DVC is at 100% capacity at all DVC resorts every day. It's low point time so that might account for all the ADRs being taken even if the parks are not overly busy.

We will be there then too!! 12/9-12/16 at POFQ. I booked all of our ADRs at exactly 180 days out, and got everything we wanted - even made some changes not so long ago, and had no problems. I did try to change our hotel just for the heck of it to AKL, and they said that they had no space what-so-ever..... made me kinda nervous too.... and the week were going is also the same week the dredid POP WARNER will be there... Not to happy about that, but I think it will be OK - Hey people, WERE GOING TO DISNEY - BE HAPPY!!!!

We will be there December 5-12th. We are preparing for it to be busier then we originally thought. But, we are really looking forward to our trip.

My Hubby and I will be making our second Trip to the world, just so you know we are only going because I am attending a training seminar that is being held at the YC/BC, we are going last minute by my planning standards and I am just glad to be going. We have never been during the holidays so we are looking forward to that.

I hve 2 words for you POP WARNER. This is our first family trip but i went for pop warner in high school and believe me it will be crowded. Especially if you are staying where they will be.
