I'm thinking about canceling my ressie that I have at WCC for dinner. What do you think? Is this place a must try or not that great? Please give me your opinions. Thanks!

Id like to know this also. I originally had a reservation to WCC but changed to 1900 Park Fare. Im still wondering if this was a must do.

It really depends on why you are going. The food was good not great but it was good. I loved watching all of the antics (our waitress played a long a little but not a lot) and I thought it was a pretty good experience. We are going back for our next visit. Now if you switch to 1900 park fair because you want to see Cinderella then it was a good choice. The food was okay (don't flame me but I didn't like the strawberry soup I think it's one of those things you either like it or you don't)So it really depends on what your thought process is.

The antics have changed over the years. We ate there 2 weeks ago and now the announcements are made by recorded messages. No more CM announcements (breakfast). The cloth napkins were replaced with paper napkins and it made napkin twirling impossible, so no napkin twirling during the horse race. The antics are so commercial and expected now. Back in the day it was more spontaneous and much better. We eat breakfast here often. We ate dinner at WCC a couple of times last year and the food was just OK. We do like that you can choose menu items vs the skillet. Out of our party of 11 no one bought the skillet.

I haven't been to WCC (yet) but we are staying at WL, so I know my girls (5 and 8) will hear all the noise/laughter and want to see what all the fun is about - so I have an ADR for WCC just for them!!

We aren't giving it a second chance. The food was alright and the restaurant was too loud. My DH thought it was too obnoxious even though we really didn't have anything happen other than the server yelling in our ears.

To me you have to be a good sport to go to WCC. Though it depends on your server you still have the possibility of being embarrassed and if you don't like loud annoying people then don't go. I would say the same for The Prime Time Cafe at DHS. You have to have a sense of humor and be able to have fun right back. We like the food there, as stated it is not great but it is good.

I liked the 50's PTC humor much better than WCC. I though WCC was way too loud. I think you make a good switch. I really like the 1900 Park Fare.

WCC is one of those places that gets many varied reviews. People seem to either love it or hate it. IMO, the food is OK at best. The last time we ate there it was awful, but they could've just been having a bad night. The antics are hit and miss. You may have a server who's not into it or you could be put in the back of the restaurant, so it feels more like you are eating in the lobby.

So my thoughts are, if you are going because you think you will like the food, I say give it a try. You'll never know until you try it. If you are going just because you think your kids will enjoy the antics, well you may get them you may not.

I agree with other posters- ok food, not the greatest. I have eaten here a few times, mostly because my fiance loves BBQ type food, so we always go with the skillet, which I think is slightly overpriced for what it is. The last time we went there, we paid out of pocket (not on dining plan), and it ended up being something outrageous like $80 for two people. For that price, I really expect something stellar, but it's ok at best.
However, if you've never been, I do think it's worth trying at least once. But other than that? Ehhhhhh.

Last time I ate there is was for breakfast and dinner in 2004. My kiddos were much younger and I must say it was a blast. From what I remember the food was good- pretty tasty, but I thought it was your standard BBQ food. My DD has such fond memories of this place that she pleaded with me to make an ADR there for our upcoming trip. With that said I decided to make our ADR for breakfast. Since my DH loves to BBQ-I'd rather eat lunch or dinner elsewhere while at WDW.

We love WCC, it's one of our favourite places! I think it's down to personal preference really, it seems to get mixed reviews. We're enjoyed it the 2 times we've been there and we've had great servers!

I decided to cancel it. It was for 8/29 at 6:25 for anyone interested.

I personally love WCC - Ive been there twice and both times, we've had great servers and funny antics - I didn't mind being embarassed (I told our waitress it way my brothers b-day so she could embarass him and instead, she made me gallop around the whole restuarant on a wodden horse as my punishment) it was a lot of fun tho!

The food is good... I wouldnt say its the best in WDW, but I've enjoyed it both times and haven't had the skillet yet.. We have reservations in August - I think this year I'll try it!:rotfl:
