We have never been to DHS and would love to eat at 50's Prime Time but we are concerned about a long wait in line (with an infant and eldery parents  ) for the show. We are planning to go to DHS on Wednesday May 20th (no EMH); the only showing is at 9. Should I cancel my ADR at 50's, or do you think we'll be okay? Thanks for any and all input!

You WILL get into Fantasmic whether or not you bought the Fantasmic Dinner Package. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

We did the Fantasmic dinner at Hollywood & Vine and the food/atmosphere there left a lot to be desired IMO. 50's Prime Time is more "fun" and more entertaining for your child.

The Fantasmic reserved seats were nice- but there is a good view from everywhere at Fantasmic from what I could see. Just plan on getting there a little earlier and you will have your pick of places to sit. HTH

How about splitting a meal for lunch at 50's primetime and doing fantasmic dinner package? We like to do Mama Melrose's package..this one includes an appetizer too...

What time are your ADR? I never book the package and we ALWAYS make the Fantazmic Show. If you think your ADR are too late then try to switch it up and do lunch there and just grab a counter service for dinner.:wizard:

The seating for the package leaves a lot to be desired. You don't even have to eat at DHS to see fantasmic - the fantasmic dinner package is a very clever marketing ploy. We have done it both ways, and we prefer the seats closer to the middle rather than the "reserved seating" for the dinner package.

I think the "regular seats" not included on the Fantasmic dining packages are better. In January, I was given complimentary priority seating for Fanstasmic due to an issue with a CM lying to me (totally different thread) but anyway, we ended up just sitting in the regular seats because we felt those were seats were better. The priority seating (those included in the dining package) are off to the side. I guess the advantage of having priority seating is not having to wait in line to get a seat.

As long as you get there early, you have nothing to worry about. I personally prefer the non reserved seats. The only time we booked the package was when we were traveling with someone who was in a wheelchair (and could not transfer), there is limited handicap seating, and we just wanted to make sure we would be seated.
