will i regret no princess meals?

I'm another vote for adding a princess meal. I couldn't imagine taking DD to WDW without going to one. It's the whole reason she likes Disney and wants to go. She didn't even know who Mickey was until recently. LOL:lmao:

Yes, it is. Especially since there is availability. However, both Akershus & CRT require credit cards. And you have to pay in full unless you are on the dining plan. If you are on the dining plan, then you just give your credit card and it won't be charged unless you don't show up or cancel within 24(or 48) hours. So be warned, if you don't show up, you will still be charged.

You only pay in full for CRT. The credit card is just to hold your ADR at Akershus.

ok, here's the deal.

taking dd2 (she turns 3 the day we leave) to disney at the end of april/beginning of may. 4 days for the parks. we have chef mickey's breakfast (late, though- 11:20), le cellier, and prime time ADRs. my initial thought was that if we were going to do a character breakfast, we should do chef mickeys to be assured seeing mickey, etc. didn't feel the need to do the princesses because dd wasn't that into them, and the meals themselves don't get great reviews (i know, neither does chef mickey's, but whatever).

well, now she's suddenly obsessed. spends her whole day dressed like cinderella. dances to princess music. talks constantly about going to the castle, meeting belle and cinderella (keep in mind- she's never even seen these movies!).

i'm beginning to feel guilty about not booking any princess meals. i keep telling myself that she won't know that she's missing out on them....but still...
they're so expensive, though...and i don't know how my mom and sis would feel about them. they'd do it, though, if it made dd happy...but she does love mickey and minnie, too, and i just don't see us doing more than one character meal.

should i get over my guilt or change our ressies?? thoughts?? i did check and there are ressies left for crt, akerhaus, and 1900 pf....

Same with my lil girlie!!! She'll be 3 in July and with us visiting I made it a must to eat with the princess... Booked her a reservation at the BBB and a special lunch just the two of us at CRT!!!! Super Exciting Right!!! With me paying OOP for this one gonna use the extra table service credit for a last day breakfast with the Princess @ Epcot... In 2006 I remember what It was like to walk through the door at Akerhaus and see Ariel there taking pictures at the door!!! Huge Ariel fan and this was my 1st time seeing her ever in the world... Luckily my lil girlie has a fondness for Ariel also... Cant wait to see her reaction!!

At 11, I wouldn't have her wear anything special because of the Princess meal. As someone else said, most kids don't dress up. Those that do are the little girls. If she wants to wear a princess shirt, fine! But I wouldn't do it because of the princess meal.

My girls still enjoyed our princess meals last trip and they were 14 and 11. Enjoy!

Glad to hear your girls still enjoy it! As far as the "princess shirt", I just meant something like I would wear...not a little girl dress up outfit. She may like to have one with just the castle on it, or she may like an actual princess on it. We like buying a few Disney shirts before our trips(I even bought some customs for my little guy last time), and we also buy some while we are there. Granted, she doesn't wear hers to school anymore...but I don't mind wearing mine anywhere!:rotfl:
