Will I need a Soarin FP+ for a Monday morning in mid Oct?

Right now, we plan to be at Hollywood Studios at 9 AM for opening to ride RnRC for the first time ever. Then we plan on driving to Epcot and riding Soarin' my absolute favorite ride in the world. Have lunch in Canada and go back to CR to crash. Then come back to MK at night, see Wishes and ride a couple of water rides and such we couldn't do the night before because of my Ariel costume the night before (MNSSHP). So question is, because it is a Monday morning, can I ride Soarin without a FP+ so I can can save my FP+ for MK for Splash Mountain and the reserved fireworks area? And yes we have one day left on our non-expiration park hoppers so we are trying to make the most out of this day!!! Just wish you could do FP+ at two parks! Maddening because we don't like any of the other rides at Epcot because Soarin and we've tried all of them! Help me! Thanks!

I would definitely book FP+ for it. Right now they're testing something new (coined SB+ on the Dis) where the SB queue is shut down and people are issued a SB+ ticket with a return time on it. That time could be 40 minutes from when you arrive, or it could be 3 hours, there's no way of knowing. I don't know if this new test will still be active in October but I wouldn't be surprised.

That's a tough call. Mid-October isn't peak season, but it isn't really a low crowd time either.

Soarin' mid-day will likely have a decent wait. But the MK could be pretty busy too. During that time of year any night that isn't a party night really draws the crowds in.

Bottom line though is that if you can stay late at the MK, you can hopefully catch some rides as the park is clearing out. So Soarin is probably your best use of a FP that day. Unfortunately though, you would get better FULL use of 3 FPs at the MK since there isn't much else worth using a fastpass for at Epcot.
