Our flight arrives at Orlando Airport about 4:13 pm. We are taking the Magical Express, staying at the All Star Movies and we have ressies at 1900 Park Fare for 6:15 that evening. If all goes well, do you think we will be able to make it to dinner on time? Also, being that dinner is at 6:15 at GF, do you think we will make it to Wishes in time (9pm)?

I know, i am packing a ton into my first day. I AM a Disney Nut tho'.

Sorry, it might be POSSIBLE... but that is really a bit too tight.

If your flight is a bit late and disembarking takes any extra time and the DME coach takes awhile to arrive, load and get you to Movies... you'll be sunk.

You may want to take a CAB from Movies to Grand Floridian to make up for lost time, but if you are delayed too much at any point before... you'll be late.

Yes. that one is OK. (Assuming you did make the ressie and were seated on time.)

You'd want to take the monorail from the Floridian to MK after dinner to see the show from INSIDE MK,

Or you could view Wishes FROM the Floridian (this would help, if you were late being seated.) >>

From what I have read on the boards that is cutting it really tight, assuming you are going to check into your hotel before heading over to the Grand Floridian.

Most reviews on the board claims that it takes between 45 to 90 minutes from the time you deboard your aircraft until you arrive at your hotel using ME. There may or may not be a line to check in at the hotel. Then you need to catch a bus from the ASM to MK and take the monorail to the GF (one of several options).

Of course you could see if the ME can take you straight to the GF but I don't know if they do that or not. Maybe someone else might knoww

Any suggestions?

See if you can get later reservations for the GF or go straight to Wishes and grab some counter service.

You might have to check in at your hotel and need to immediately get a cab straight to the Grand Floridian. But, that sounds pretty tight to me. You should allow at least an hour for ME. You won't get to ASM before 5:15 or 5:30. You might even drop your bags off at bell services, then grab a cab, and just check in when you get back to your hotel after Wishes. It'll probably be slim pickings on your room assignment by then.

Now that I have typed all of that, I think you should get a cab or hire a town car to get you to ASM and skip ME. You will have to take time to claim your baggage if you do that, though.

I DID make ressies this morning.
We are going to EMH that night at MK
I am determined to do this one way or another!!
Hmmm, lots to think about. Keep the suggestions coming!

If you land, ontime, at 4:15, you can expect to be at your resort by 5:30. The average time from deplaning to resort checkin is about 70 mins. If you get checked in by 5:45, I would take a cab to the GF. I wouldn't use the bus system..you won't be ontime for your ADR. You will need at least 30-40 mins to get from your resort to the GF using Disney transportation.
But..if you are ready to go to dinner by 5:45-5:50, you should be fine if you take a cab.

assumming ur flight is on time, really think it's cutting it too close

even w/rental car, ud have to wait for ur luggage, etc. & drive down beeline & I-4 in rush hour traffic..eek

What about making ressies for Crystal Palace or Liberty Tree Tavern around 7:45 or 8pm.

Based on my experience here's what I'd expect your time line to be:
4:15 land @ MCO
6:00 arrive by ME at ASMo (you may arrive 5:30-5:45 but don't put money on it).
6-6:30 Check in, then stop by your room to put down your carry ons
6:30 Wait on bus for MK
7:30 Walking down Main Street!
7:45 check in for dinner ADR

OR you could eat at Narcossee or California Grill and watch fireworks from the restaurant. This might be a more relaxed option. If you have an 8pm ADR You arrive at MK at 7:30, take monorail to Contemporary or Grand Floridian from MK, you should be there about 10 til 8pm. Request a window table when making your ADR, but remember it's only a request, but request again when you get to podium at restaurant. You should be through dinner by 9pm, and may either enjoy your dessert thru fireworks or ask them to hold dessert until fireworks are done.
If you don't get a wondow seat, you can go outside to the walkway around Narcossee to watch the fireworks, and I believe there's a viewing deck off California Grill to view fireworks. I beleive both locations pipe in music from the fireworks.

Hope these suggestions might help. :wizard:

Would I HAVE to check in at the time i arrive at the hotel? Couldnt i just catch a cab to GF?

Honestly, its the dinner with Cinderella at the GF I am set on and then seeing Wishes.

AWWW!!! NUTS!!!

THIS ISNT GOING TO WORK!!

I will be in an ECV from a knee surgery!! A cab wont fit that!!

Sorry, I don't think so. Possible yes, but probably not. It took us about 40 minutes just to check in at POP last year in September! A trip before that we waited a really long time for ME. I wish I could remember how long but, maybe they are better now because we didn't have to wait as long last time.

Can you spend the money for a car service? Then, Magical Express can still take you back to the airport when you go home (ie you can use it one way).

A town car service would assist you with luggage also.

So sorry about your knee surgery! Hope all goes well for you. :grouphug:

Your flight simply arrives too late for your GF ressies.

You need another hour, and that is if there are not any unforeseen delays.
