Will I have trouble parking in MK early?

We'll be staying at the BC and have an 8:05 ps at CP. MK opens at 9AM.

Will I be able to drive over early and park?

My experience has been although they do run buses that early, they aren't that early and I end up waiting quite a long time. We were at the BC bus stop before 6:50 and the bus did not show up until 7:30 making us cut it close and sprint. I would prefer to drive over ourselves. Will the parking lot be open 1 1/2 before park opening?

Yes, but the monorail might not run until 8:00am.

I'd take a cab to the Contemporary and walk from there.

FWIW, we had a 8:05a PS at CRT last year and we were staying at the BWV.

There was, indeed, a bus right at 7:00a for those going to MK for breakfast. We made it in plenty of time.

Buses to the MK & Resort area for Character Breakfasts will start running at approx 6:30. Just be out at your bus stop 45 minutes prior to seating time.

If you wish to drive, the parking lot will open at 7:00am. Parking trams will not be running until past 8:00. You will need to show your confirmation number in order to get by the gates at the TTC. Once past the gates, only the Resort monorail will be in operation. MK will be the 3rd stop.

So we'd have to go to the TTC and take a monorail from there? Isn't there a MK parking and I thought we had free parking as resort guests?

It's funny but in all of our trips we've NEVER driven to MK!

Taking Disney transportation is, IMHO, always easier (OK, GF to TL, is the exception).

TTC = MK Parking. Parking is free to resort guests, however, in order to get past the gates prior to 8:30, you must show a PS confirmation.

We did this twice during our trip last week. It work out great. We started out about 7;00-7:15 from our hotel. Free parking for resort guests, just wave your paper that is in the window of your car. The parking lot is empty at this time (assuming non-EMH) you will get a close spot. No need to use the tram. I didn't need to show our confirmation number for the PS but have it ready at the gate after the ticket window at the TTC. Only the resort Monorail is working at this hour so it can be slow! They have all the early PS people wait in the farthest three lines to the right. They will let you in at 8am sharp. With our first PS for CRT we were waiting in line before 8am but some people had problems with their tickets so we didn't actually get to the castle until 8:20. I was a little worried about that, but we got in the first seating.
