Will I have trouble getting back to my room the first night?

This may seem like a silly question, but let me explain. We've never been to DW and the first day we're there, we fly in late afternoon. After having dinner at Ohana's, I thought we could "pop" over to the MK to see Spectro and Wishes and then come back to the resort. Since I've never been there and don't know where the monorails are and the longhouses at the Poly, will I have trouble finding our room since it will be dark?

Half the fun of WDW is just wandering! Seriously though, there are a lot of people heading back to your same resort at the same time. It is full of people, well lighted, and very pretty at night!
Enjoy the journey! :moped:

Yea, it is very easy to get around Disney anytime of the day.. Between the buses, monorails, boats, and well lit walking paths you can't help put get were you are going.

Thank you for easing my mind. The first night is the only night we could see Spectro so I didn't want to miss it!

mermaidwannabe, as a guest of the Poly you can also take the water launches back to your hotel. As you go out the gate to the monorail you'll see the boat dock for the resort launches. We did that on the evening we attended the MNSSHP and we were there a lot quicker than the crowd waiting for the monorail. Just remember to bring a jacket if it's cool. It's a nice little ride.

And the Poly's grounds have pretty good signage and lighting as well, so you shouldn't have a problem finding your building and room. I hope you enjoy your visit to WDW and the Poly - it's a lovely hotel.
