Well here I sit waiting for the phone to ring. The call just does not seem to come! Kitty we have a pancrease for you! Please send prayer's and pixie dust for me and my devoted family. I am staying strong and believing they will find me a donor in time. Daily I feel myself slipping away just a little more. I have made my peace with the Lord. I am not looking for self pitty, I just needed to get this off of my chest as my family is suffering enough waiting as well. DH has his bag packed waiting next to the bed. We pray and hope daily. I thank each every organ donor and their families for their gift's. I would like to know how many are organ donor's? Does anyone know of someone who has received an organ. someone who has donated an organ? I am looking forward to planning my next big trip to see Mickey, however that will not be planned until after my transplant. Again I love each and everyone of you. Remember to love your spouse, hug your children, be happy and be thankful. Life is to short, so be kind to all who come your way!

Love, Kitty

Kitty,

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I am signed up to be an organ donor. Most of my family is but a few are not. They are not comfortable with it and I have to respect that.

It is the final gift of love we can give another when we, ourselves, no longer need our bodies. I hope you hear soon and that you can stay strong and healty to visit Mickey many more times.

I'm an organ donor and I've been one for a long time. Your post really touched me. I hope that you get the organ soon.

I saw that someone at my gym put up an ad that they need an organ on the bulletin board. I had never seen taht before.:D

My heart goes out to you and your family!:sunny:

My husband and I are both organ donors. We have discussed this with our families and have it notated on our driver's licences (we are from Maryland - don't know if other states do that)

I love the bumper sticker that says "Don't take your organs to heaven. Heaven knows we need them here"

Kitty,
I will pray that you receive that call very soon. I am an organ donor, have been since I was 17. I wish that the laws could be changed so that organ donation is standard unless you sign a card not to donate. This situation is hitting very close to home since we will be facing the same issues within a year. I will keep praying for you.

Nancy

Wow...big hug to you.

I checked off the organ donor box on my license and try to donate blood whenever possible. My DH lost his best friend in his 20's a few years ago and I know his organs were donated to many people. His widow got notes from the people saying how grateful they are and in a way its nice to know that he's still living on through someone else.

Dear Parkhopper, my transplant is scheduled to be done in Maryland. The University of Maryland Medical Center, they are number 1 in Pancrease alone transplant. I pray for the call to come soon.

Dear HollyJoy, Your girls are beautiful angels!

I am an organ donor as well. Good luck to you.

My dad passed away suddenly in 1995 and his eyes and long bones were donated... We recieved a letter stating that someone is able to see nor thanks to the donation....
The one thing that was amazing after the "donation" is that my mom recied a bill for harvesting.... Yeah right I told her that it was a donation and to throw that bill away which she did and she never heard another word. What a slap in the face to bill someone for a donation.

Prayers for you Kitty. I hope your donor comes through soon.

Kitty...you are definately in my prayers. I don't mean to sound stupid, but how do I become an organ donor? You've moved me...I'd like to help someone some day.

My thoughts are with you during this time! I pray you receive that call soon.

I am an organ donor, and have made it clear to all my loved ones that I am... you can't take it with you, why not?

Keep us updated!

Kitty, my prayers continue for you! BTW, I get a chuckle everytime I see your tirp counter!;)

Kitty,

My thoughts and prayers are with you!!

DH and I are organ donors. We have told our families and it is also notated on our DE licenses.

I don't know anyone who has received an organ, however, I am at work now filling in for a girl who tragically lost her sister to a freak auto accident last week. She was 37 and an organ donor!!

My only words of consolation to my coworker was that her sister will be living on in the lives of others. She had to go so that others might live. I'm sure you will, but when you do get your gift. Please let the donor's family know how wonderful the gift was. That way families like my co-worker's will know that their loved one's death was not completely in vain.

God Bless you!

I am praying for you. We are Organ Donation advocates here. My dad passed away ( promoted to Glory :) ) while waiting for a heart.

They may have whatever they wish when Im gone. I will have no use for it where Im going :)

To Remember Me - I will live forever
Robert N. Test

The day will come when my body will lie upon a white sheet neatly tucked under four corners of a mattress located in a hospital; busily occupied with the living and the dying. At a certain moment a doctor will determine that my brain has ceased to function and that, for all intents and purposes, my life has stopped.
When that happens, do not attempt to instill artificial life into my body by the use of a machine. And don't call this my deathbed. Let it be called the bed of life, and let my body be taken from it to help others lead fuller lives.

Give my sight to the man who has never seen a sunrise, a baby's face or love in the eyes of a woman.
Give my heart to a person whose own heart has caused nothing but endless days of pain.

Give my blood to the teenager who was pulled from the wreckage of his car, so that he might live to see his grandchildren play.

Give my kidneys to the one who depends on a machine to exist from week to week.

Take my bones, every muscle, every fiber and nerve in my body and find a way to make a crippled child walk.

Explore every corner of my brain.

Take my cells, if necessary, and let them grow so that, someday a speechless boy will shout at the crack of a bat and a deaf girl will hear the sound of rain agianst her window.

Burn what is left of me and scatter the ashes to the winds to help the flowers grow.

If you must bury something, let it be my faults, my weakness and all prejudice against my fellow man.

Give my sins to the devil.

Give my soul to God.

If, by chance, you wish to remember me, do it with a kind deed or word to someone who needs you. If you do all I have asked, I will live forever.
Robert N. Test

 All my best.
