Will I be able to get a 2BV at BCV ?

We absolutely love the Beach Club and are planning a trip for January 2008, we are DVC members but do not own at the Beach Club. So the question is will we be able to get a villa 7 months out for January or should we book at our home resort now 11 months out just in case.

Any other suggestions?

I would always have a back up plan. Book your home resort then call at 7 months to see if you can get BCV.

I would ALWAYS book your Home 11 mos out if you are certain you want to travel then. The only exception would be if your Home cost more points per night than the resort you wanted to get at 7 months, and you would be borrowing points to book at your Home.

January is pretty slow except for the week of the WDW Marathon and the week after the MLK holiday. If you steer clear of those, you have a reasonable shot. May have to go on the waitlist, but there's no reason not to do that.
