I'm not even a Nascar fan, and I sat in the car waiting for the segment to finish.

Right, I know zero about Nascar and/or racing. I know the name Richard Petty, that's about it, but it was still a really interesting/entertaining segment. The blog is great too! Can't wait for the video!

We have 2 tires sitting in our Dining Room from NH races... DH wants to get some at Orlando but cannot figure how to get them home (No ideas please I do not need any more tires) He wants 2 more as he does not think 2 is enough for a table.

To the person who asked about the upper age limit I do not think there is one.. My DH has done this twice and there have been some older (late 70's) gentlemen doing it. The people you see are all very different.. it is a fun thing to watch.. the last time there were 2 girls who had never driven stick.. one was able to get it and did really well.. the other switched to the ride along.

Great segment Will!

My DH is not a big Disney fan but he will go with me every 5 years or so. I am always looking for things that he will enjoy. I know it sounded expensive, but so is a couple of rounds of Golf at WDW! We enjoy watching Indy car racing so I think the Petty experenve would be a thrill for him.

Those cars had PLENTY of power and grip. I know I could have gone quite a bit faster, but it was more about getting comfortable in that car than anything. It was a blast, I must have watched my video 50 times already, so worth it!

Hey Will. The video looks great. Thanks for sharing this. We are thinking of doing this for a family member as a surprise so this was very helpful.

We may have to ask you to do it again next year just in case anything has changed. You know another research trip for the sake of the Podcast of course!
