Will GF make a cake replica?

Hi,

I just posted this on the wedding/honeymoon board, and was hoping someone here might know.

My husband and I got married at the Pavillion two years ago in June. Our honeymoon was pretty long (almost two weeks) and by the time we left and had flown home, the top tier of our cake was unsalvageable. So, for our 1st year anniversary, we didn't have anymore.

We are going back for our two year anniversary in a few months and I had a question. I had heard somewhere that the Grand Floridian would (for a price) remake the top tier of your cake if you were married there and deliver it to your room. (we're staying at the Wilderness Lodge this time) Is this true?

Has anyone else ever heard of this and what it would cost? I would really appreciate any advice on this.

We recently returned for our 5 year anniversary and I got a cake. I got the same flavor, white cake with white chocolate moose filling. I asked about the white chocolate topper since we never ate ours at our wedding. That was $99 just for that. I opted for just a small cake $25 I think. They do not deliver. I had a friend pick it up at the GF and put in our room while we were at the park. I emailed my coordinator who is now is sales and she really didn't offer me much help. Possibly try that route with your coordinator. The cake was WONDERFUL! I called our hotel direct and they gave me the number to the bakery at the GF. Let me know if you have any questions!
