Will DVC value bounce back?

I've actually started looking to pick up some more contracts and the pickings are rather slim right now at the price I want to pay.
Just wait for those annual dues statements to go out. Things will pick back up.

* I will admit I don't understand all the market calculations I have seen on this thread however there is one basic principle in play. A timeshare is never an investment. We have been DVC members since 2006 and we have used every one of our points. We love going and staying in large accomodations and it is worth it to me. We are able to invite friends and family to stay with us which we probably wouldn't be able to do if we weren't prepaying for it. I plan on owning my timeshare until it expires.

* I own at SSR and have only stayed there once. We HAVE stayed at BWV, AKL, OKW, WLV, HH, and are booked for Vero in Oct. I have never had any difficulty getting in at these resorts but I don't travel at Christmas either.

Or so conventional wisdom would suggest. The truth is that there are gems that can be a good financial investment as well as an investment in family/lifestyle.
