will DME transport me on a day other than my checkout day?

we have a late night return flight... so we're considering moving our check out date to the next day, even though we will not be sleeping in that room that night as we'd like to have our luggage available, a place to nap, be able to swim, change, etc on our last day... would DME bring me to the airport wednesday night even though the resort says i am checking out thursday?

of course the fact that we're on free dining and will get those extra meal credits don't hurt! :rotfl:

Tyler... what a pleasant surprise... nice to see you... i used to be a regular on the Pop Century Thread over on the Resorts Board and loved reading your posts there... thanks for the response as well :)

Just let them know this when you check-in at the ME counter on arrival they will note a time for your flight and give you the return time for that not for when your checking out.

But let them know anyhow and it's won't be a problem.

You are actually checking out Wednesday evening, not Thursday even though the computer might show a Thursday checkout to let you keep the room past 11 AM on Wednesday. (You cannot check out after you are gone and you don't want a printout of your room folio hung on the door the next morning for someone to pilfer sensitive personal information off of!)

Homebound ME reservations can be modified easily up until a day before departure home.

In addition if family members are arriving late or have to leave earlier they too can still use ME. They just have to be on the room reservation before they get to the ME welcoming area on the way to Disney.

I don't understand what you are doing? Do you mean your flight is late Thur so you are keeping/paying for your room as if your staying the night, but leaving Wed night?

....
I've checked out at other hotels by calling the front desk; are you sure this can't be done at WDW?

Our folio was hung on our door the morning we checked out from POR. Someone could have pilfered information off of it before we got to it, so I don't see any difference here. :confused3

last i heard, tyler was no longer wearin' the purple pants...

to explain... i want to pay for my room wednesday night (so we can use it 'til dinnertime, plus so we can get the extra dining credits for the number of nights we are paying for) but leave after dinner on wednesday for a late evening flight... and i wanted to know if DME will take me to the airport on wednesday evening instead of thursday morning... naturally, i will settle my bill on wednesday so that there is no folio hung on my door thursday morning....

Never fear... the express check out folios are specially printed. Unlike the more detailed folio print out that you would get if you asked the Front Desk, they do not include any personal information at all.

As of this past week, I am no longer driving coaches of any kind. Now that I've been promoted at my full time job at Disney, I decided that I no longer have the time for a part time job driving at another company that coincidentally also happened to be involved with Disney somehow.

Indeed... I've worn light green, part time gray, and now I just wear plain khakis. :)

But at any rate, what y'all plan on doing basically is the equivilent of a late check out. All LCO's past 3pm get charged 100% of the room rate... you're just doing it ahead of time to guarantee your LCO is granted. And from a hotel perspective, that's the way that is preferred. You've paid for the room, it's all yours, and we know it's going to be taken, so we don't have to tell another guest that they can't have the room till really late because of a LCO.

I am now a Coordinator of Training at a familliar location. My office is backstage, so unfortunetly, my guest contact is virtually zero.
