Will DLH offer lower rates while eateries and pool are closed?

Having worked in the hotel industry years ago, I do recall that we lowered our rates when we were without a pool and restaurant due to construction (Hyatt bought our hotel and revamped it). I am curious if anyone has heard any rumors to this effect for Disneyland Hotel during their upgrades. I know a few people who have cancelled their reservations when they found that there would be no Neverland pool and many of the eateries were closed as well. Anyone heard anything about this?:confused3

I'm wondering the same thing....we are booked for October 1st but need to have a pool....

I am not sure when they are supposed to be finished with the pool. I did hear that the other quieter pool is still open, but...not the Neverland.

I highly doubt they will lower thier rack rates. They will still have places to eat available. Also there are places for you to go swim and eat next door.

Our room rate was $199 a night on weekend......but I fear without a pool we will be misearble.....the cove pool is okay....did they redo it or is it not going to be touched until other pool complete....I know neverland pool will be closed.....which I think is really odd because the warmest weather is Sept and october.....bizaree

I called today to make reservations as I got a PIN code in the mail.

When I asked about DLH pool, they said that the pool would be closed but if we booked there we could use the other pools at the other hotels.

I opted for the GCH just because we have never stayed there before. :)

Why not change hotels? PPH has a nice pool area, as does the GCH. :)

I changed from DLH to GCH when I heard about the construction and pool. I am very happy with my decision! Can't wait!

The pools really arent a big deal for my family, as we have a pool at home. We usually dont have time to visit the pools at the resort anyways. I was just wondering if they would be lowering their rates due to a lack of amenities. I did hear that they were allowing guests to use the GCH pool also. My only gripe is that it was convenient to be able to eat at CRocs or get a drink at Lost Bar, but honestly I love DLH and would stay there anyways. I was just curious if anyone had heard any rumors about the rates being lowered. :confused3 Wishful thinking I Guess..hehe!

When we go for Destination D Sept 23-27 we got $179 per night through hotels.com..I thought that was a bargain.
