Will DL Fireworks Disappear for a While?

So if they are doing fireworks for Halloween does anyone think it's a safe bet they will be doing holiday fireworks?

Well, I like to try and look at things on the positive side, so until I hear that they aren't doing fireworks, I'm going to guess they'll present fireworks during the holidays. That being said, I don't know if it'll be the Holiday show (Believe) or Fantasy in the Sky.

The only problem is that DL does the fireworks on weekends only, and then if someone sneezes wrong, they get cancelled. I've seen Wishes launch with storms blowing through. I guess it's a quantity vs quality issue....although I love Wishes.

We've been when they've cancelled the fireworks before, and that is annoying for sure. We always plan for multiple opportunities to see the fireworks because of that. We've yet to have a trip where we've missed out on fireworks entirely at DLR.

If I wanted to go to WDW, I would. There's many reasons I prefer DLR over WDW, and fireworks is one of them. RDCT and Disneyland Forever are both better shows than Wishes, IMO.

I'll admit there are things I like better about WDW than DLR, but DL wins in the fireworks category. My favorite was the Halloween party show which is way better than the one at WDW. I haven't yet seen DLF (but I will! ) but I can imagine it will blow anything at WDW out of the water.

It's just a rumor, of course, but this could give me some heartburn. Honestly, if DL does cancel fireworks for a 6 month period that would cover two trips I have planned in Nov and March, I'll be calling them up and demanding my money back on the APs I just purchased. I don't care what their policy is on "non-refundable" passes. I will NOT pay for park experiences that exclude not only the Rivers of America attractions, but fireworks to boot.

If Disney was smart, and having to cancel the fireworks HAS to happen, then let's hope it'll be after they're able to bring back Fantasmic! They could at least run that each night in lieu of the fireworks. Certainly not as good, but it's better than the PR nightmare it would create to have both shows down at the same time.

Apparently will return from 9th September till mid November. So does that mean the 6 months starts mid November? Or do they have different fireworks for Christmas time?

I assume that means they will start a holiday fireworks show then. I can't imagine them discontinuing fireworks right before the holiday season. But then I didn't think they would discontinue their night parade when Fantasmic as down. So who the heck knows.

Sorry - dumb question. Can someone define "weekends"? Will these be done Sat/Sun, or Fri/Sat/Sun? I know it's weather dependent, but just try to get an idea on how this will work. We're going Sat-Thur for our trip so I'm hoping that means we'll have two chances to see these...

Fri/Sat/Sun

But keep in mind they often do Mickey's Halloween Party on Friday night, so only Halloween fireworks for party guests those nights.
