Will Disney transfer baggage?

For those of you who have split your stay across two resorts...

Will the Disney resorts transfer your bags to another Disney resort, or do you have to do this yourself?

We are planning to arrive and stay one night at the ASMovies, but are switching to the Poly the next day.

Disney will transfer your luggage for you. When you call luggage service let them know you are going to another resort and they will tag your bags. You can then go about your business. Your luggage will be transported to the Poly, usually some time after 1:00.
We did this from the POFQ to the Poly. When we got to the Poly later in the day, we checked in and let them know our luggage was sent over from the POFQ. We went to our rooms and the luggage was brought over to us within a few minutes.
