We booked CSR for Dec 14th-21st for me DH, DSS AND DSS. If we can find dog sitter my DSS21 might go too.
Can we book a separate room only for him and pay for his meals out of pocket? If we do, will they let him sit with us?
Aaaaand, if my bonus comes in time we're going to upgrade to deluxe dining since my husband and 14yr old DSS are big eaters. Can the 21 yr old eat a meal I've ordered? I don't need 3 full meals every day

You can share your credits on the DxDDP. You can also book your ADR's to include. Your DSS. I would do that no matter what, because it is not always easy to find tables for 5 at teh last minute, so include him on any ADR;s that you think he may be able to join you at.

When you make your restaurant reservations (you can't make them for December yet), include the 21 year old whether you know he will be there or not. Removing him later will be easier than adding him later.

Yes, he can sit with you. And yes, you can "give" him credits. It used to be against policy, but only enforced in the sense that if there were 4 of you on the meal plan, you could only order 4 meals. Of course, you could switch and share plates at most restaurants. But I believe current policy lets you use as many credits as you want, at any meal. So you give him credits, charge 5 credits even though there are only 4 of you on the plan.

I've done DDP, DxDP and no plan --- I will say this about the dxDP and whether to use it or not -- It's generally a poor use for 3 meals per day. Not just because of the amount of food, but the amount of time. If doing 3 sit down meals per day, you will have virtually no time for actually being in the parks. When we used the DxDP, we did some snack credits for breakfast on the go, a sit down lunch in the heat of the evening, and a signature restaurant (or dinner show) for dinner. But our kids were young at the time, and therefore we weren't doing much park time at night. So we didn't mind spending 90 minutes or more in a restaurant at night. So even with just 2 sitdown meals per day, it is not just a lot of food, but a lot of time in restaurants. So I'd consider carefully the pros and cons of upgrading to the DxDP, versus just buying a little bit of extra food OOP.

Thank you guys! I guess we'll share credits and pay for DSS10 out of pocket. He's a really light eater. I would really just like to add DSS21 to our package but we couldn't find a room that sleeps 5 that we can afford. I debated the cabins but the price is so high
