Will Disney ever make a walkway from AKL to AK?

We love the resort, but seriously, how nice would it be to be able to walk from AKL to AK? I think it would be amazing! Thoughts and opinions?

Due to how the land is used between them, probably never.

The big fences aren't something Disney want to route people near.

It's too bad. I would have bought at akv if I could walk to the park. I am not a fan of buses and minimize its use during my stays.

According to Google maps, its about 1.1 miles from the front of Jambo House to the turnstiles at Animal Kingdom Park. Even if Disney was to construct a special walking path, I don't think it could shorten the length much due to the layout of the savannas surrounding much of AKL.

Frankly, I don't think the vast majority of guests would use a walkway between AKL and DAKP. 1.1 miles might not sound like much, but keep in mind that the BLT-MK walkway is less then 0.5 miles and the Hollywood Studios to Boardwalk Villas' side entrance walkway is about 0.6 miles. Summertime heat, humidity, and rain storms would discourage a lot of guests -- especially those with kids -- from walking. Add in the fact that AKV-DAKP buses usually make the run in about 10 minutes, I just don't see a AKL-DAPK walkway getting much use.

When I stayed at AKL, I remember watching the route that the bus took to AK, to see if I could walk it. I remember passing a lot of wet, swampy areas and bridges. I would guess that Disney cannot guarantee an alligator free experience on such a walk, and thus would be unlikely to allow it.

Well it would make staying at AKL an even better experience if you could walk to AK.

I'd never want to do it. It's a quick bus ride, and there are already miles of walking ahead of you if you are headed to the park.

I'd enjoy it if they had it. 1.1 miles could be walked faster than some of the waits we've had to ride the bus back to AKL.

There really isn't a ton of people that walk to DHS from BWV or even CR to MK - I'd think the traffic would be fairly similar. Walkers would walk and others would not.

We always walk to HS from Beach Club. It's faster than the boat and a very nice walk.
