What are your thoughts? We absolutely love Mods, but I am quickly running out of new places to try. I wonder if/how much longer til Disney plans anothe mod and where it would go....

I'm not sure if they ever will. You've got to think that at some point they will reach the saturation point with the number of rooms on property. Plus they still have a half unfinished Value resort to finish first.

Honestly, I see them continuing to build more and more DVC resorts, because DVC is very profitable for Disney.

Hopefully!

With one that can cater to large families without having to book two rooms or a suite. :rolleyes1

I think what you will see instead of a whole new resort is something similar to what they did at All Star Resorts. You will see CBR, POR or CSR w/ family suites. That's just my opinion.

Probably so. I think family suites at the mods would be a great addition! Im sure they would be quite pricey though.

CSR alraeady has suites. 3 types.

I hope so too...I am willing to pay a little extra to get the nice theming over the gawdiness of the values but the Deluxes just seem too over priced IMO.

That what worries me...they seem to be straying from the concept of Moderates.

I agree. It seems like you either have to spend a ton of money, or you have to stay someplace tacky. I love the mods, and I hope the don't get lost in the crowd :sad2:

So true.

I also loove the mods, but really enjoy trying new resorts....Well, Im running out of choices in that category. The only one I havent tried is POFQ and the themeing just doesnt appeal to me there. Come on Disney, help me out here =)

I think the next project for Disney resorts will be to finish Pop with family suites.

It seems like the time has come to finish the other section of POP. And yes, I would love to see another Mod resort!

I would love to see either a new mod, or a new deluxe that falls into the low end of the price range, like WL.

Is CSR the only mod with suites? Do you happen to know the pricing?
CSR is the only mod with suites.

CSR has 3 types of suites and they are costly. Jr suite, VIP suite and an executive suite. All the suites are located in the casitas with the exception of 2 jr suites located in the cabanas, one in 8b and one in 9b. The double bed jr suite would fit six because the wall unit in the second room is a murphy bed. Jr suite is two rooms together, the VIP is 3 regular rooms together, and the executive is 5 rooms together.

* The resort has about 30 junior suites, which are basically two connecting standard rooms. The bedroom includes either one king bed or two double beds and the second room is set up as a living room with a sleeper sofa or Murphy (Sico) bed. There are two bathrooms. Junior suites have an occupancy of 4 or 6 people and cost more than 2 standard rooms.

* There are also 10 "VIP" one-bedroom suites. These are equivalent in space to 3 standard rooms knocked together. There is a standard bedroom with one king bed or two double beds, plus a full bath. The living room is equivalent in size to two standard rooms and includes two seating areas, a wet bar with small refrigerator, a full bathroom and a dining table for four people. It has either a sleeper sofa or a Murphy (Sico) bed, bringing the occupancy to 4 or 6 people. The VIP suites are set up primarily for entertaining and are generally used by senior managers staying at the resort for conventions. VIP suites are priced at more than 4 times the cost of a standard room.

* Finally, there are a 6 "Executive" two-bedroom suites. These are equivalent in space to 5 standard rooms knocked together. The first bedroom has a king bed plus a full bath with whirlpool tub. The second bedroom has two double beds plus a full bath. The large living room offers two seating areas, a half-bath, a free-standing wet bar with small refrigerator and a dining table for six people. The living room includes either a sleeper sofa or a Murphy (Sico) bed, bringing the occupancy to 6 people. The Executive suites are set up primarily for entertaining and are generally used by executives staying at the resort for conventions. Executive suites are priced at more than 6 times the cost of a standard room.

CSR is the only mod with Suites.
They have JR. Suites start at 4330 a night during value season in 2007.
The 1 bedroom Suites start at $615 during value season in 2007.
The Executive Suites start at $910 during value season in 2007.

Here is a website with the 2007 resort prices:

Here is a layout of the JR. Suite that sleeps 6:

The Jr. Suites come with a coffeee pot and dorm size fridge.
They do not have a kitchenette or a microwave.

There are also Jr. Suites which come with a king bed in the bedroom area.
Those Suites sleep 4.

I think there are only 30 Jr. Suites so if you want one you should book early.

Have fun at Disney!:wizard:
